Anyone who can survive Pfizer for 27 years deserves retirement. You must be an expert at "acting seminars" (aka Role Plays) and sharing Success Stories!

Again, enjoy retirement. You've earned some peace and quiet.

Do it and don't give it another thought. Better yet, you retire and let your wife work another 10 yrs., hahaha.
This shitshow will kill you if you let it. I'm getting out next year after 20 yrs. I'd rather starve than do this mindless shit any longer.

Says the tool who has nothing. If you think this guy is an anomaly- you really know nothing. The question to ask is how many kids he has. If he has 2 or 3 or 4 and needed to pay for college, he probably wouldn't be doing so well. NYC is a pretty damn expensive place to live. If they lived somewhere south or the midwest they would have twice as much, since Pfizer (and most companies) doesn't bring cost of living into account with salaries. Anyhow-well done my friend on being able to walk away-if you want to. This job (and industry) is very different now and definitely not fun. The jealous ones who piss their money away could learn a thing or two from you.

Not at all, morons. I have same figures, it just took me 8 yrs longer. Two kids thru college and grad school. Lived comfortably on our salaries, maxed 401k's, bonuses all banked.
Very simply, marry the right woman and not just the bimbo with large breasts, don't piss your money away, live within your means, be smart with investments, and you'll be a millionaire+ by 60.

The sad thing is there are idiots on this site who believes this won't work. Pharma (not just Pfizer) has provided quite a good living to lots of people. The ones who follow this formula here truly reap the benefits and a nice comfortable retirement.

you can easily retire right now. the money you can generate on your savings plus social security would e easily keep you in your current lifestyle. you can find some part time fun job to make some spending money and save for your healthcare deductible every year. even if you live 30 years you can do that on 2 million

And why do you find the need to share this with people? Especially on this site! You sound like a tool!

Growing up in Mississippi, I feel so blessed. Jesus has given me more to make money because he loves me. I grew up poor and said never again. I sold and sold and sold the right pills to make people whole again. I didn't judge (except the gay ones--not right), and I have been given everything I deserve because Jesus does love me for being righteous.

Sure, this works. If you're willing to let a soul-sucking corporation-machine like Pfizer use you like a tool, then toss you away, then good for you.

over 2 million in assets? Good for him!

And no, it doesn't work for most people.

From CNBC: "Since so many families have zero savings and since super-savers can pull up the average, the median savings, or those at the 50th percentile, may be a better gauge. The median for all families in the U.S. is just $5,000, and the median for families with some savings is $60,000." Sep 12, 2016

Who knows who Mr. Anonymous is? He could be some fat kid in a basement with a computer for all we know. And no one with combined assets of over 3 million would be on this site asking us knuckleheads for advice.

In any event. Go on, take the $$$ and run!

On this thread/site we are talking about employees(sales) in the Pharmaceutical industry right?? A person with 20-25 years in Pharma should be doing a little better than a person working in an auto dealership, or highway department or accountant. Just like a guy in finance or law is probably doing better than us. This thread was started by a guy in our industry with 20 years in Pharma. I know quite a few people with 20+ years in the industry who are doing/did quite well. You can talk medians, percentiles. etc, all day long. Bottom line-this industry pays damn well...if you're lucky enough to last 20-25 years doing it, you should end up pretty good if you live the right way and aren't stupid with your money.
