Because they suck and it's the only way they can grow

That's what they do. Buy,divide, merge, and then layoff as many people as possible.

Shiel is a great lab with excellent sales people. Many former employees
They can get it for nothing since Fresenius does not want to be in the business
The renal piece will make us money
    The clinical piece?

Many of those former employees are Quest rejects that will keep the compliance staff very busy

Anybody that has left Quest is not a reject, rather they are smart. Anybody with works at this piss hole is a reject! Now go along and fill out your pre call sheets for your robot manager.

Most of these folks will not last 90 days.

Is Quest that crazy, are they blind?

It's all about perceived growth for Wall St. As far as the garbage that comes with this purchase, Quest is not as clean as it thinks it is. They will toss individuals under the bus but there's shady deals everywhere and Quest is not immune to them.

What are some of the pros about being a Quest Rep, other than the excellent brand and insurance mix?

Health benefits and 401k. Need to go work for a big hospital trying to get lab started.
The call reports can easily be made up. Waste of time and energy The problem is the compliance piece, be happy what you get and move on.Service is our game not growth. We offer nothing compared to the small regional labs

There are no pros if you come from a small lab. If you get bought and end up there you will be amazed at the lack of pay and the ridiculous comp plan. They don't pay commissions rather off a book of business which you can't control. As a rep coming from the purchased lab you will have a target on your back. Get out now. Find another small lab ASAP before your coworker beats you to it.

Small labs are small for a reason Junior. If you are looking to work for a small lab you must be, well, small yourself.

Plenty of small labs pay large.

What a stupid comment. Folks that hide at Quest or LCA just don't have any Sales skills. They get business because of their name. Most are too afraid to look elsewhere. No guts no glory. You can make so much more at the small labs.

Insurance mix, in some parts....excellent brand??? That part was a joke right. Nobody thinks quests brand is strong and nobody does business with quest willingly.

Cant believe that Shiel was purchased by quest. They were having some trouble.

Imagine Quest will also have to hire a bunch of compliance folks.

BN and MK, hopefully they aren't part of the deal. Too many stupid decisions from these arrogant pricks while at Quest that still haven't been overcome

Oh brother, more uninformed and unwelcome commentary from the peanut gallery. You are out of your league, son. Try to focus on the simple tasks that we assign you and stop pretending to be someone other than a low ranking rep with no actual information.

For those that have been around awhile, it reminds me of CDS....and we know how well that worked out......right?
