Does anyone know what renal product is being, or going to be, marketed by Quintiles? I just saw a posting on monster.com. Thanks
Better contract than most. More like you are working for Sanofi Han Quintiles You are a specialty rep so the money is better too
If it's project 7103, it's Genzyme aka Sanofi Renal. These are vacancy management positions, meaning Sanofi Renal is backfilling all vacancies with Quintiles people. Call points are renal dieticians and social workers, dialysis units and nephrologists. Contract started Nov. 2014 and is expected to be a 2 yr contract. Could term early if a generic comes out or if Sanofi Renal does not get a BD deal. Anyone coming onboard now for this can only expect employment for a year and a half. That said, it's a good contract. Salary is commensurate with experience, bonus not so good. Car allowance isn't terrible. Genzyme employees are running like rabbits from the company b/c they think the sky is falling. The AZ rep was a Quintiles person who left after only 3 mos for a permanent position. So they are backfilling the backfill. Training starts Apr 27.
Bonus is not amazing but it isn't bad if you can do about 97% of your goal. It also depends on your Sanofi manager. Some are better than others. As long as a generic doesn't come out you will still have a job and they are working hard on a BD deal. If not deal not only would quintiles be out but so would all of Renal
You are working for Quintiles but report for most everything to Sanofi. Good contract. May be rolled over if BD comes thru
What is BD and when is roll over? How are territories, local? Who is the manager on everything and what about a car? I know better contracts always supply a car.
BD = Business Development deal. Another product in the bag or a copromote. Waiting waitng waiting to hear. It's been a long time coming, but without it, sanofi renal won't exist much longer. If they get it, it's quite possible Quintiles hires could be rolled in. currently no car. Car allowance is $650 a month which they tax and also charge you for personal use. You end up with about $420 a month. You have a Quintiles manager for purposes of Quintiles admin only. You really report to the Sanofi Renal RBD for all field based strategies and initiatives. Contract was originally signed in November of 2014, and was a 2 yr contract so the clock is ticking. New hires at this point are looking at a year and a half-- earlier term if no BD deal, longer if its pending or rolled over if it comes in. No one knows at this point. Sanofi Renal/Genzyme people are running scared--hence the Quintiles backfills. Territories vary in size. Some are big, some if in a metro area are smaller. Workloads are not created equally, so it totally varies. 80% of your time is spent in dialysis units.
Legacy Genzyme make $140k with $60k bonus at 100% with a completely tricked out Ford Edge and excellent healthcare.
This show is over. Tracy didn't come to either meeting and had no intention to. Everyone is looking for the next job. If you aren't you are blind.
