Nothing Has Changed

Why send out a survey if you don’t take the feedback and make changes? Everyone knows it was terrible feedback. It’s not a secret.

Remember the Danes think we're stupid so repeating the process is expected

And nothing will change. Next fall's realignment/restructure/adaptation/evolution will be even worse as it will come as Dave takes over after undermining Doug for a full year. There's nothing on those index cards telling you to watch your back there Dougie.

So far, it seems Dave is our punishment for terrible survey results?

Even MORE damning, let’s blame it on a former manager and take the survey AGAIN at a local level....

OOPS, we can’t deliver the REAL results, let’s table this for a while.

    NOVO WAY!

I've worked for some pretty bad leaders, but the D&D Circus is perhaps the worst I've ever witnessed. Absolutely zero charisma between the two of them. Very uninspiring and clinging to cliches from the late 90s.

At least with Andy, you felt like he had our backs a LITTLE. Dave reminds me of Little finger from GoT.

If it benefitted Andy he did. Otherwise he'd sell your ass out so fast your head would spin.

^^^ you’re so insecure that you’re trashing ANAJ? Obviously you weren’t paying attention at POA to the dismal applause for D & D. No one is happy with the new Leadership. Bring back Andy.

This place is so insane I seriously don't know why I haven't left yet. I worked with Andy for a long time and yes he had flaws, but he was a good person at heart. Doug wants to be a good person but can't control his paranoia and has given way too much power to his henchwoman Maryellen who will stab you in the back if she thinks you're a threat.

Let’s start a recall petition for Dave and send it to Copenhagen.

You'd be surprised if you saw how your goomba turned his back on people. You like the funny, cool guy on drive time, but others inside have a much different opinion.

I am inside and worked closely with him, not saying he was perfect, but he is a good person at heart

Maybe a good heart, but no balls. Avoided any type of conflict and hid behind his lackies doing his dirty work.

I’ve always been amazed at the hatred and anger that’s on CP and it’s not just here. Check out any pharma site and it all sounds the same. Then it dawned on me - If this is such a shit job - no matter where you work - why are we all here?!?’ I think for some the anger and disgust is from feeling we are stuck....to get the same salary, bonus, company car, 401k, etc etc it can’t be matched for MOST of us living outside of bigger cities and I’d guess that would be the majority of reps. We want so badly for this job to mean more and be valued but the sad truth we aren’t. I’ve been in this industry for 18 years and it doesn’t matter who you work for. It’s all the same.
Bitchin Isn’t going to change anything. We all have choices ... this isn’t going to get better. These jobs aren’t going to be around forever. Have a plan B that isn’t pharma.
So now I know the jackasses will have some snarky mean hateful comments. I don’t really care. At the end of the day we all want the same thing... to be happy in a secure job that makes a difference. I’m not at all happy with what’s happened with Novo either. But I’m done being a victim .... i can’t and won’t rely on the management tio make me happy or make common sense decisions. If I don’t agree with the vision, If I don’t like the management then I have the choice to leave. I’ve made the decision to leave 2x in the career and it’s always been for the better!
Hang in there folks. It has and will continue to be a wild ride in the pharma world.

    Best idea yet!

And I also worked inside with Andy. He was a good guy with a good heart. He loved NNI. D&D need to go.

If you've been in Pharma for longer than 12 years, and are making more than 100k in salary, the odds are very good that you wont find a job that pays as well and gives you as much day-to-day freedom. As for the claim that its the same everywhere? Well, one reason for that is because this industry is insular, always swapping deposed leaders. D&D worked together at JnJ, right? How many of BOPAs DBMs worked with him at a different company? You see how Biogen just picked up two of our ex-leaders? This is how it works, and its a BIG reason for the overall sucky vibe (to quote my tweener).

Next point: having left a company right before they executed huge layoffs, I can tell you for a fact that the great majority of downsized tenured reps and managers will be thrilled to land a job with PDI, InVentiv, Quintiles one year after they were laid off. An their package will be 33%-50% less than what they made here.
Go to those CP sites. You'll see.

Yep, all the big talking managers , RBDs and VPs are scared to death to go look for another job particularly if they had to shop their "skills" in a new industry. They're on a career to nowhere just riding out the implosion.

Look I’ve been here a while. Worked in the home office and field. This company has a lot of great people. It’s shameful to see morale at an all time low due to poor leadership. We continue to go from bad to worse with leadership. Do the right thing everyday and don’t be quick to assume you don’t have viable skills to land another similar paying job. The reality is the ET could care less about anyone below their level. Take care of yourselves and see what else is out there. In the meantime, maybe Copenhagen will miraculously rescue us from Dave. Doug isn’t the problem.

I don't really think anyone who has managed people is scared at all. Those skills are transferable to any other management position in any industry. Sure, it might be hard to make the same money, but that's true for any of us, regardless of your position. Your take is an interesting one, though. It sounds like you're wishing bad things on other people - not sure what's in it for you besides just being a generally unhappy person, but I guess there's a lot of that on this site. Best of luck to all of you during these uncertain times :).
