Recent article and research on why bullies and psychopaths get promoted while nice guys don't. Says that in some companies up to 20-35% of managers fit the profile for psycopaths... bullying, destroying people for the fun of it, creating chaos so they can appear to be the white knight. I think its higher in the organization where that type of BS behavior trickles down. Managers and execs who treat their workers like shit - but kiss ass, project a good image and shine to all those above. When the execs do not meet with teams or walk the halls there is no insight into what is really happening and how employees feel. Nobody fills out the surveys accurately for fear of retaliation.
