Why do different divisions within Ethicon receive different types of company vehicles? Some divisions receive SUVs such as Equinox's, while others receive cars such as Camry's or Fusion's. Shouldn't it be standard across all divisions??

I know in spine they get SUVs so they can carry sets around. Not sure why you need an SUV in Ethicon as the reps don't move inventory. It's a free car, don't over think things.

You can get an SUV/Equinox/AWD if you get a lot of snow in your territory.

As the last poster stated, its a company car. Don't over think it.

Actually a good question....not all divisions get SUVs/Equinoxs. Mentor gets subaru legacys or toyota camrys. I would think that Mentor would have better options but that is it.

I thought all divisions of Ethicon received small SUVs like Equinoxs and Escapes?

It depends on your location and role. Average annual snowfall from the last 5 years is looked at and over 36" = AWD. Some reps that don't get snow still have a Subaru as it may have been the only thing available when it was their turn for a car (such as when someone turned in a car). Camry is a standard car and some reps get the Equinox. They offered a volvo xc60 2wd for a while and everyone hopped all over that. For some reason energy reps that carry generators and carts didn't get larger vehicles whereas endo/mech reps did. Now that Megadyne has been brought on I would expect larger vehicles for energy reps.
That being said, you can plead your case if it makes sense to try to get awd or something larger. You can also pay to upgrade.
