This thread is for those searching for Western Medical Group out of American Fork Utah.
These guys that run this used to have a company called KMR Medical. You search for KMR on Cafépharma and you will see this company is under investigation:

Here are a few things for you to know:
They prey on seniors
They take advantage and rip off Medicare
They are Under investigation with the Federal government
Google Jody Rookstool and Jeff Newman (when searching Jeff type in call center of Philippines.

They use call centers in the Philippines. When You call their office they will lie and tell you they are in American Fork when you really are talking to a call center in the Philipines

They want to talk you into biting on their pitch to order Back or knee braces.
They will tell you get them free from Medicare
They will charge Medicare $900 for them
(you can find the exact same brace online for around $100
They will want you to give them your Social Security orr Medicare info. DO NOT DO This

Always consult a doctor prior to using any orthopedic brace. These can do more harm to you if not ordered an fit by a professional. Knee braces can and will cause permanent damage if not fit correctly. Plus the physicians have no idea who "Western Medical" is.
the name sound like a real company. FYI Real medical companies will NEVER have someone from a Philippino call center call you and try and get your Mecical and Social Security number.

Western medical uses tricks such as selling a pendant to you that calls 911 if you have fallen and can't get up then they will try and push the braces and other products on unsuspecting people.

Western Medical Group is not a medical company. They have no employees with any orthopedic or true medical experience. They just want to try and sell Back, Knee and "I've fallen but can't get up" pendants. They use the pendant pitch to lure you into a conversation then they will try and sell you back and knee braces and a couple other products using a insurance (Medicare) companies to bring in the bucks.

Warning Warning: Do not give this company any medical information. Do not give them your Social Security number or your Medicare info.


Always see a physician first to see if you really need any braces. Western Medical DOES NOT CARE if you need the brace or not they just want to sell it and make $900.00 billed through insurance on a brace you can purchase online for around $90-100. You can find similar braces at Walgreens for $40.

Google the Names Jody Rookstool, Jeff Newman and call centers in Cebu Philippines. These guys use and abuse call centers to trick you into buying product you SHOULD NEVER ORDER without consulting a physician first. AND Always make sure you are dealing with a reputable medical company.

When you talk to a rep from Western Medical Group, you are talking with a call center in the Philippines.

 

The latest version is this: initial call from Secure ID pitching identity theft protection. Once the rep in the filipino call center verifies you're under 65 and have private health insurance, they transfer you to their American Fork Utah location. This month they're calling themselves Action Medical and they are pitching pain relief creams that they want to bill your private health insurance for.

   I am blown away- after ripping of elderly seniors with the sell them the Medical Alert system then, up-sale them on a back or knee brace they should never of demoed and billing Medicare for a brace that was really not ordered by their doctor. All this while dealing with some patients who couldn't comprehend what was going on. To me that is elder abuse and medicare fraud. After all this these clowns actually got even more greedy and more malicious and developed a topical cream scam billing OUTRAGIOUS amounts of money.      It would not surprise me if he made all this up and is trying to pretend like this is a girl named Jody Rookstool who happens to live in Utah. Boy that is a common name. Observe how it reads. I would bet he is creating all these to try and move ALL the negative online search content further back when you google search him.

What is the status of Western Medical ( or whatever they are calling themselves)?? Is the information you uncovered responsible for the raid that occurred? Were the charges of healthcare fraud that apparently prompted the raid ever defended in court? What about a class-action? Thanks for any information...

 

Whatever happened to the Jody Rookstool guy? did they get sued for damages?

 

I am reaching out to the CBS news reporter and the other investigative journalist interested in doing a piece on these two defendants. The case is in settlement talks now with Ben George and Jody Rookstool, after stealing 100 million are whining as to why they have to pay the taxpayers back. The proposed settlement, mere pennies on the dollar, there continued efforts to deny culpability and negotiate a loophole are not only ineffective but have raised my ire.Clearly, they cannot be shamed, Perhaps their families can. When these stories ran in 2015 the publicity was very negative and Rookstool went to great lengths to bury any association. These assholes live in Utah, must work at their next bogus " marketing" or whatever euphemism is being pawned off these days, for a scam artist. Can any folks enlighten me on these two? Who are they working for? What type of work? Maybe they aren't;t working. Perhaps they are living off the cash they swindled from taxpayers and preying on the elderly and infirm.
