What is the arrangement of the Pfizer contract sales group with PDI?

    Is there a PDI ?

Did a group spin off PDI/Lurker and then realize they needed Publicis to float the HR side of their business?

Is PDI a group purchased by employees and managed by Publicis? Who are they?

PDI and Publicis used to be two different companies, they have joined and are now run as one; I believe.

Are you drunk? Publicis bought PDI. How hard is that to understand?

But why would you continue to run the companies separately when you are basically doing the same thing?

Perhaps there are legal reasons. Why does it matter?

is there a better place to be? would I be better off working for PDI or Publicis?

well, the main company is Publicis, so I would think that would be the better spot, with PDI folks "living in the guest house" or "the apartment over the garage"

Oh for crying out loud...PDI was purchased by publicis. They are wholly owned BY Publicis. PDI is more like a brand of Publicis. You can't work for PDI, you will work for Publicis...even if on a PDI contract. The contract with Pfizer was established when PDI was separate and for whatever reason remains as a PDI contract. So if you get a job on the Pfizer contract, you will be a Publicis employee working on the PDI contract.

By then why even use the PDI name? It makes no sense. It's a contract sales team, so why call it PDI vs. Publicis? There's got to be some sort of reason, and the PDI rep is probably losing out in the deal by not being considered a Publicis rep.

Publicis/PDI is considered Lost Leaders in the industry. They sell you out. They pay the lowest wage in the industry it is what it is. You want to be treated fairly w/ pay you need to move on because that is the business model. You also have two HR departments 1.) in Yardley Pa and 2.) The main Publicis (which is actually a world wide advertising agency) in NYC. When you speak to HR, HR 1 is limited in power (Yardley) the main HR in in NYC.

It is sad that PDI is now owned and run by Publicis. PDI was a good company and treated their reps well. They also rehired their reps. Recruiting is now done with Publicis and the culture is that of Publicis - they treat their reps like SHIT!

Contract used to be a great place for old timers to go after they put in 15/20 years or so and don't want the responsibility of working for the manufacture. No one cared that you made less. Just go out and call on your MDs, utilize your experience, do the lunches where needed and basically do the job w/o hassle. It was also a good place for new reps trying to break into the industry to gain a little experience and put something worth while on their resume. Not any more, it's just a 12-24 month job interview where the Manufacture company takes advantage of you in every way possible then discards you. Not worth it any more. You have to be pretty desperate to want to do contract work anymore.

And so many are "pretty desperate" in 2017. Not just in our industry, although it's difficult to find one with more volatility than Pharma. Jobs be goin' away, that's the trend in our economy. And salaries remain stagnant. Sad state of affairs, but that's reality. If you've got a nice gig now, enjoy it because it ain't gonna last. The middle class continues to shrink as the standard of living for most Americans decreases. Enjoy the decline!

Quit replying to these dumbasses. They're obviously trolling for information, possibly because they are trying to sell something to either Publicis or PDI. Or both. No one else would ever give a shit.
Anyone applying for a job could easily ask the question during the interview...and ultimately all they care about is getting the job and the checks.
