What does your example have to do with labor law? I do remember, however, a lab being sued because they were reusing disposable needles for drawing blood. And in San Francisco of all places. Phlebotomist...trying to save money for the company. Good grief!

It's not only the letter of the law they violate, but the spirit of the law and the dignity of employees....

Don't be so unkind. She is really a great company employee. Not only does she do work that very few want to do, but she actually likes doing it. Quid pro quo. She deserves the benefits and a break. Leave her be.

I am hoping that this is your idea of sarcasm, because you cannot be serious. Who gives a fk about a company that looks at you as a unit of labor instead of a human being- She is there to collect a paycheck just like you. The only difference is she doesn’t care how she makes a buck. Any working person who is brainwashed against a labor union is against himself, and an ignorant fool. Collective bargaining is the only way to any empowerment. If they told the green cards that they would have to screen 250 slides a day, they would put heads down, look at the floor, and them commence to reading 250 slides. They do not have a clue about the law of supply and demand. Even though they are doing more work, but for no more money. Some would do the 250 slides in 31/2 hours. Hoever, the token toady supervisors would say not a damn thing . Why,? Because there is an implicit agreement: The cytotechs will forego decent raises, even work 7days a week -NO overtime pay, as long as they can leave early. All they have to do is say they do not have outside employment and snitch out their co-workers.

Oh yes, If you are an ambitious toady who will use every opportunity to be a snitch, and/or an undercover racist, you will advance quickly. Ask Sk, M.O.E., or M.T.

Mr. Spock says the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one.

Well, the chickens are coming home to roost. Oh snap!! It is so ironic how the biggest little lying snitch mouth goes fkn cray cray when it’s she, who is ratted out.

We are lucky not to have unions everywhere given the way we treat many of our employees....poor pay, high stress, terrible leadership, etc. etc. A petri dish for unions.

Labcorp is lucky not to have Unions. Employees are NOT lucky they are not unionized.

Well it goes like this. Instead of dealing with the the real transgressors of the rules, the scared little toady goes after the black guy in the back in the corner cubicle (who is actually an excellent cytotechnologist). Wonder why she feels safer going in on people like him while protecting members of other groups, who break the rules. Ummm, well you sure couldn’t say she wasn’t supervising somebody or call her a “racist.” But if you were looking for the 3 hour tech, it was not about him.

If the company spent some of the money they use to fight unions into our pay and benefits, perhaps they would not have to spend money to fight off unions to begin with.

A union is needed so badly. What is being put up with from dear leader, sue jung “little” Kim is beyond nuts. This cytotechnologist who LCA has made a lab manager, thinks the place is her own private plantation. When she was a tech, she was obsessed with making more money, even talked about striking. When the lab that she was with merged with this lab, she said of the other employees, ....what do you expect? Look at what’s working here...Now she makes it her job is to make sure that the only one who gets paid is herself. The place could be such a great place to work. Every rediculous policy or action is blamed on penny pinching corporate. Cytotechnologists are leaving for much better pay. When they leave, they are not replaced. The workload is increased for those who remain with no increase in pay, giving the illusion that there is an increase in business. English is a second language for the majority of the employees, so if they complain, it is only between themselves. They are too afraid to speak up. Some work 7 days a week. No overtime? Oh no. When you go out of your way to come back in on your weekend to make up work because of a power failure, or computer crash,or a backed up workload, there is no overtime. You are not a professional. You are their pet. You are given a treat. A cookie, a piece of candy or a pastry. And if you are lucky, you might get lunch a month or two later.

Yes. Those are only a few reasons that a union is needed.

LOL. It is not the black woman, either. But guess what? If the focus on them, Trump like minds who believe in stereotypes will pick up that ball and run with it. After all, why else would they make the little tool supvr in the first place? To shut her mouth, making her a sellout and insuring her allegiance? After all, you sure can’t call “her” a racist.

And No! Neither of the 2 African American cytotechnologists, the man or the woman, are in the 3 hour group. Stop using them as scapegoats while using M.O. as your shield. Yes, we get it.

PS: M.O. is the only one who does not get it. Now, don't shoot the messenger.

Stuff like this goes on all around the company. Leadership does not care and HR is a joke.
