Life of an HSBS

Any word on what the HSBS reorganization in early 2018 will look like? Will the position be eliminated altogether in some regions? What will happen to that person?! Laid off or placed in vacant/ new TBS territory.

 

I'd like to know when we find out about it. Not just HSBS, but all positions for 2018.

 

Exactly...when are we supposed to find out the fate of our jobs come 2018? Wouldn't we have heard about lift time frame by now?

 

The guy that pulls the names and ideas out of the hat always takes a lot of PTO around Halloween. When he gets back to work we should have a plan. Hang in there.

 

Do all HSBS wear scrubs? I’m new to the territory met with mine - he was all scrubbed up!?
I was sort of thinking- why is he scrubbing it is he going to have to hold a patient’s mouth open stat and make them swallow some Pradaxa then make them huff some stiolto?
I mean really what douche bags work here?

Obviously several people have no clue about the crucial role HSBS serves a district and region.
Literally without our division the TBS would be just BS - because they’re all depending on our pull through.
Without our critical conversations and positive positioning of treatment protocols the TBM and TBS would be floating fecal material.
Let’s face it - the TBS are insecure and that’s understandable I mean they are completely replaceable with Ashfieldand if I were in their shoes I would be nervous as well. Hello wake up call - HSBS are the future of the organization. I’m sorry that you live In an empty storage unit waiting for your fed ex guy to bring you samples I’m sure you are just so ready to get your much needed samples out to the low life physicians who are profitable for the month.

I am so in awe of my HSBS peers. They double up on lunches; help each other carry food; get awesome customers like RTs, CMAs, and the occasional RN, but no real Rxing HCPs out to programs. They are instrumental to the success of my territory. I cannot thank them enough!

 

You sir (or madame) are a genius. We bow down to your wisdom, skill and just flat out awesomeness. An average person might look at reality and be worried about the value and longevity of the HSBS position. But you're no run of the mill rep, am I right? You're smarter. You know better.

Sure, we know every other organization that went to an HSBS type structure has abandoned it. And, yeah, the architects that championed this structure have moved on to greener pastures. (Including the person who implemented this at Pfizer, where it failed, before managing to implement that failed concept here.). But none of that impacts someone of your caliber, so you have no worries.

When someone is as good as you are at what you do, there's no need to worry that what you do brings no value.
