So the car choice is a Ford Fusion. But you can get an Equinox. I have a back issue. It would be better to have a car that sits high. How much is it to have an upgrade? I have seen all ranges. $500 a year? thank-you for the information.

Are those the choices for 2018?

I think it's $2500-$3000 to upgrade to an SUV

You typically can’t get an upgrade here. For a medical need you will be getting a Subaru Forester.

Next year we will many more choices. I was just told this recently by the lady that negotiates these contracts.

I have an Equinox. Ever since the layoff talk started, my OnStar had been beeping and talking. Can I just disconnect it or is there some policy about that?

they don’t care if u have 4 kids in car seats ! U will get the base they give free upgrades to those who have back issues per md ... or if you are tall ...but for a large family nope ! It’s a joke. Even though we pay tax on personal miles and monthly for the car ... I get it’s free sort of but for some people it just does not work .

You won't have to worry there will be lots of cars once company makes "selective" layoffs in certain geographies of US

The car is for business not your family.

Go out and spend your own money and buy a family car for yourself. Entitled little brats that work for this company believe that the company should now consider an employees family needs. Ridiculous.

100% agreed- they provide a free car (well almost free) if you don't like it buy something you do like. Women have ruined this industry. Shit sales reps and feel they are entitled.

It's not almost free. I pay $100 a month for a car that I can't fit my family in- it's not a benefit it's a hunk of junk parked on my curb. I'll stop complaining when they stop taxing me for the POS.

Here's a suggestion... get a job w/o a company car. Problem solved, you get to buy your own care.

I went from having a company car to a car allowance then a reimbursement. I had a large geography. Put 125,000 miles each on two cars in five years. The cost of insurance, tires, brakes, etc was all on me. Spent $50,000.00 on those two cars just in purchase price. Combined trade in value was $15,'000.00.Eight tires, two batteries, replaced air conditioning in one, brakes plus routine maintenance about $6,000.00. When I received reimbursement, I covered gas and reimbursement was 4-6 weeks later. I bought midsized car not a vehicle to hold six. Think about this.
