Maybe Jim Willett can ship couple test vents in development to Panama, test them on humans before Acute & GLP animal testing, get the ombudsman called on him again. He can also have Dawn go completely off the reservation as a bonus then be “asked to leave”.

The worst thing about having the 980 is how often service has to touch the vent. Always some software upgrade PM every 6 months. Seems like it takes a lot longer to PM. Always having to pull the vents for some reason.

Why the complaints? Do you wish they just didn't fix the issues?? This is being set up to be a beautiful and game changing vent.

Again you know dick. I work in Carlsbad. IE sync will be delayed significantly. It was supposed to launch mid-end of first quarter. You preselling vents based on an unapproved feature?

Look, several of us waned everyone abt all the 980 problems during development. Look at the beginning of the thread. Any rep that tells a customer they are in the know is lying to them. When it’s time for you to be read in, you’ll know. If you want to be in the know, get an ME or EE and come work in Carlsbad. Everything is delayed.

I think Medtronic needs to sell this to a private company so it can spend the resources it needs to bring this back to the PB days. The Old PB brand was unstoppable. 840 was the best vent and still outperforms a servo u or v500. Do you feel Medtronic even cares about the vent division?

They tried to sell off Respiratory.

Wouldn’t say that if u knew how many unresolved bugs were in 840 code. Many could kill a patient. Then base code ported to the 980. Building house on broken foundation.

I had zero issues with 840. I think ur full of it.

Don’t care what u think. Many of us been spot on with 980 for years now, so maybe u shld listen. Many were tasked w working on both 840 and 980.

U think we share our bugs externally? Unless it was reported by customer, theyre buried. Some required series of uncommonly common inputs in sequence that could happen. Some were as simple as pulling and reconnecting circuit w leak comp on. Some could kill a NICU baby or cause a pneumothorax in adults.
