Looking for honest answers here regarding starting pay range for oncology?
    How are medical/401K, etc.?

Descent bucks,130 to150 salary, based on experience. 50 to 100 bonus. I made 75 so far this year. mediocre medical, 401k, car. There are better companies. BMS is in the lower third of companies in every parameter.

I disagree with above. BMS pays well in base, cars are top notch (example:Volvo), 401K is 100% match for 1st 6%. Holiday shutdown (extra 4 days off) added to time off in 2 of the last 3 years. Medical is comparable to other companies but Rx plan is excellent. Bonus is comparable Payout no less than 50% of target. Company is as good or better on all measures.

Agree.. 75K not typical. To get 75K you would need to be #1 for the entire year and every year!

Since when does BMS have a company shut down at end of year?

Would you say average starting base is $130-135? if making less currently?

You must be an outsider. 2015 and 2017. 4 days off added between Christmas and New Years. These are in addition to the 4 personal holidays we are given per year.

It depends on the area of the country and your back ground. Are you currently in Oncology? What area? I have seen them bring people in much lower then that range if the person in making less. They won't just catapult you to 135K if your not near that.

Very true. Many reps are under 120k. New hires that came in with low bases and veterans they mistreat with poor merit raises year over year..lot of ageism at BMS even though the company will deny

Bonus at max if you are #1 is 70ish
Ageism is REAL. I feel for some of the older reps that have mentored me. They really helped a lot of us have quick learning curves, have been generous with their support/time and are not appreciated for what they do. We been told as newer reps to take things to the next level and behave differently then the reps that have been here for awhile. If we are honest with ourselves, we showed quick impact because of the tenured reps.

They don't always give those days off. It's not an official shutdown. They sometimes give that time off, and sometimes they don't. It's kind of a head scratcher.

Too bad the cancer patients that are going bankrupt to pay your salary don’t get the week off from their disease. It’s amazing how a little money can take away any semblance of integrity.
