This is quickly turning into a weird surreal nightmare. Trapped at sanofi even after you have been granted your one fairy wish. Why ? Because you wished wrong. Should have said please wish fairy grant me early retirement package with an end date in dec 2017. Instead you just asked for acceptance into serio. Well wish granted. Apparently sanofi a lot like hotel California. You can check out anytime but you can never leave.

Everyone that I know in Field Sales that asked for it. Got it. So I am calling Bullshit on all your posts. Managers too.

it ia true that some reps last day will be Dec 29 while others last day will be March 30. I haven't heard of any further extension then March.

Supposedly there are some that got denied but I haven't heard of any in reality. Everyone in field sales that I know applied got it. They all got these notices that say they COULD be extended until as far as March and they will be notified December 8th if they can actually leave 12/29. Total bullshit on Sanofi's part but what happens if these people get put on a PIP or worse from their managers? What about jealous managers that just want to make life miserable for these people? Seriously, if you got Serio I would have to think you're going to be working with a whole new attitude, and not one Sanofi is going to like. The whole finish with a nice clean slate in case you want to get another job is BULLSHIT! Sanofi sucks.

This sounds like there will be massive layoffs and Sanofi must comply with the WARN act. In this case, people are notified that they are cut, but they aren't allowed to work, and Sanofi continues to pay them until they are officially let go. Pfizer did this when they bought Pharmacia many years ago. Some reps were on the payroll with their usual pay for 3 months before they started to receive the severance package. Also, those cut were only given 3 months severance pay. Good Luck!

Read the WARN Act and you will see that it essentially doesn't apply to companies like Sanofi. WARN is facility specific, as in a major plant closing, and only applies if a certain percentage of all employees at a particular site are to be cut and if the number cut at that site is above certain specific thresholds. Sales force realignments don't meet the triggers.

Besides, Sanofi is pretty generous with severance relative to most companies. Most people get less notice under the WARN Act (and no severance when the notice period is up) than Sanofi pays in severance alone. Losing your job is never ideal (unless you hit the early retirement jackpot), but try working in another industry!

Uh, hate to break it to ya, you’re wrong, king-o-sobbie. Sales force RIFs can trigger WARN and Sanofi in not generous with severances. You probably believe you are most envied too.

Truth. Some reps pushed to March 30. They didn't let any territories go without reps. Haven't heard of anyone denied. And haven't heard any ABLs with date past 12/29. However, EVERY person who got the 12/29 date it said "tentatively" and all will know for sure 12/8. They aren't allowing exceptions for the extension either.

Didn't hear of a single person who had a tentative Dec 29th date get extended. Anyone?

Yes, know for fact some dates on package don't allow to leave until
    March 31.
Rumors suggest changes will be announced in Jan. We know POA meetings are locked for end of Feb. suggests changes will go into effect April 1. Jan-March 31 will still be called " business as usual"- aka- the torture continues. It's like a water drip torture.

Sanofi has been a torture chamber for at least the past 10 years. Leave ASAP, there are better opportunities waiting for you !

If my Manager knew I’d have a 3/31 Serio he’d make my life even more miserable & he’d make sure I’d get fired because let’s be honest, the work & goal requirements given are completely unattainable as a whole & designed so that if they want to find a reason to fire you they can just by documenting an inability to complete one of the required points acceptably. Those compliance agreement signatures are there to screw you & protect the company from internal lawsuits. The FDA ones I get, but they pile a whole lot more on to screw you if they want/ need.
