Good times...huge RIF in process

    About 30 pink slips went out effective October 28th reducing field sales by about 30. This RIF was ostensibly to cut field sales headcount to integrate Medtronic reps. RIFs were slanted toward older sales reps. Oldest RM in northeast Medical Surgical sales was let go, too. There were actually a few other northeast RMs that should have been fired instead of this fine man, but they're younger and consummate ass kissers so they survived. Cardinal loves their people young and ruthless.. Not a good track record when it comes to age discrimination and minority hiring as well. Can't think of more than a dozen Black sales reps or RMs in Medical sales. No one in upper management cares about these stains re Cardinal's hiring and firing protocols. All that matters right now is digging out from under the opioid mess Cardinal profited from and seeing who can take the fall for these criminal acts. GB was not alone though he claimed total innocence. What a shithead; glad he's pink slipped and more need to go who knew of these crimes.

    who cares about race/ethnicity/religion? Please stop with that bullshit already. You must be that same clown Diversity and Inclusion idiot who is saying we need more minorities everywhere because you were hired for just that reason and need to justify your job. Perhaps if you gave us managers better candidates instead of the same empty, useless and unqualified prospects that have a proven track record of sales success, then and only then we might consider hiring them! I refuse to hire a candidate or move them on in the process for the sole purpose of fulfilling a “quota” and to make you look good. The bottom line is when my paycheck is determined by how my reps perform, I don’t care what race/color/religion/sexual preference you are and you can go fuck yourself with the comment “not enough blacks” work here.

    Don't blame HR or that moronic diversity and inclusion clown (I can't believe we have to listen to that drivel during the national sales meeting. I would love that guys job) for getting bad candidates. Blame the shit pay. Talented people don't want to work here because the pay isn't competitive, and if they do come to work here, they leave in a year or two because a rep that is worth 2 nickels is confident, knows their worth, and is willing to take risks.

    ALL TRUE, BUT DON'T EXCLUDE WE HAVE RMS AND AVPS WHO ARE WORTHLESS, TOO. AND WE HAVE TOO MANY OF THESE SCUM BAGS. IF YOU'RE IN MEDICAL SALES IN THE NORTHEAST DO YOU REALLY THINK WE'RE LED BY THE BEST? A TERRIFIC RM WAS RIF'D AND SEVERAL BOTTOM FEEDERS KEPT. AND THE AVP IS NOT A LEADER, ONLY INTERESTED IN ADVANCING HER CAREER DESPITE SEVERE LIMITATIONS. LUCKY FOR US DAVE T TOOK OVER FOR KOKUT AND NOT JEN.

    The majority of the AVPs are garbage and have no business leading anything. They couldn't sell if they had to but for some reason someone thought it a good idea to promote them to the level of AVP. Unfortunately, Dave T will be run over by THE BLAZE and his role will be slowly diminished.

    I hope you're wrong. Dave T is a true gentleman and a decent person, a real asset to Cardinal. Perhaps too nice as it seems the sadists are running the show. If he's blunted in his efforts to improve this mess or is forced out there are much better companies out there that would grab him in a millisecond. BTW, what happened to the post about the Northeast AVP? Maybe she's glued to the Cafe? Matt K was obsessed with it, too. Truth hurts.
