Are you happy with the company/culture/products? Would you recommend taking a job here? Thank you!

Can somebody please respond and let us know what is going on with this company? I'm in the interview process and I would really appreciate some insider perspective. The company seems a bit unstable . What's the work life balance like?

IMO, this company has a small sales force and there are not enough of them checking CP to respond. Also, since the sales force is small, they may feel that even posting anonymously carries with it the potential for being outed. Furthermore, working in the Pain space these days may not be the best idea (note that Endo had a huge layoff last year, and that DepoMed just announced elimination of their Pain division). I certainly would not choose to work in this space given the current political climate. The Pain space may be even more volatile than the pharma industry in general.

Thanks for the response. However I'm being told Belbuca is special in that it's a schedule 3 with less abuse potential. That their is talks of Drs. Having to write schedule 3 drugs first on the hill. The pain market can't go away but It has to change. Drs. have to be able to prescribe something for legitimate cases?

PLEASE Can just a few current/past reps comment on this company and any info selling Belbuca?

Again, refer to previous posts. The sales force is small and the few reps employed by this company are either not logging into Cafepharma, or believe that it could be risky for them to comment here. Just look at the big picture in the Pain space - how good could it really be these days? Analyze the marketplace, understand the state of the pharma industry today, and engage in critical thinking. And remember that the single largest factor in your job satisfaction (or lack thereof) will be your manager - who you directly report to is #1! Any reps who have been in this industry for any significant length of time understand this. Put your effort into researching the manager, if possible.

Where are the woman on the Management Team or the Board of Directors? Is there any diversity in this company?

Why would anyone be concerned about talking about what a great place it is? What's the worry?

I can say this - most people aren't commenting because people who love their job don't come to Cafepharma to highlight the company, they come here to bitch. Since most people like / love their job, they don't show up to bitch.

Your product sales are awful, so its either the team or the products.

I worked here over a year and left on my own accord. It is a very small company and bonus payouts are not consistently paid on time . Belbuca is ok but just because it is a scheduled 3 the docs don’t buy into it and still write the other pain meds... bunavail was good alternative at first for addicts but there are IV medications either coming out or out now that will Be more effective. Because the company is so small they watch every thing you do and you are micromanaged a lot ! There is no compmay car but a car allowance And no corporate credit card so all expenses are reimbursed on your dime... I did well here , but as a seasoned rep it wasn’t the right fit or company for me ... I would recommend this position to someone who is just starting out or wants to get into Pharma. Upper management is good ... there are a few regional managers who act differently to upper management and then act differently to their reps ... treat their reps like crap so they are glorified as great managers .... come across as know it alls.... overall it’s an ok company ... no t horrible but not great

Yup. Some bosses can’t even give it a break on Labor Day weekend. Even on holidays they are ranking out the e-mails.

Take this job while you find another. Managers are awful and that's really all that matters in this industry.
