how's this contract going. Will their Be an expansion? This is probably the most coveted and highest paying job in medical sales and quintiles people are right in their participating in surgery. Don't some of the Synthes reps make over 300k a year? Is there a chance to be hired direct to the company?
Don't buy into the hype. You have NO chance of a 300k per year job with Depuy?Synthes. Across the board reps have been receiving massive pay cuts. Either through paying for quintiles reps, losing business to competitors because of better products or massive discounts given to the hospitals. You may make 85-140 but don't think you will make much more than that. Also talk to other reps and look around for anyone who has worked for Synthes for more than 10 years. They have all either quit, been forced out, or are stuck in their positions because they do not think other companies will want to hire them due to their noncompete or their age..... good luck
heres the pay breakdown of the guys in my region who i am a quintikes rep for: 3 trauma guys at 250,275 and 345k 2 joint guys at 215 and 195k CMF guy at 187k 2 spine guys making 175 each If you think working for synthes is a bad idea you better get off your butt and try to get hired direct. Im busting butt to get on board. This is hard work but you get paid well.
Well I am on another contract and I may be younger but that crazy money. Its almost doctor/dentist level of comp if you can get in. Good luck
How’s that contract working out for you? What does an average week look like for a Quintiles DePuy Synthes rep? pay and bonus structure? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
we only work for trauma. Essentially im on call 24/7 literally. 3am calls to go to the OR happened twice this week so the sales group I work for could sleep and go in the morning. I have no vacations and Im the guy working holidays. Im never home. The reps in my group said the first five years they were here they never took a weekend off or vacation. It 100% commission. No car, gas money, cell phone; nothing. But if you can be brought in as a partner in 2 years (maybe) you should have this job for years and years. Lots of job security in orthopedic trauma. Its the top of the food chain.
