Cook vascular seems like it is on a knife's edge. Transforming a company and bringing together separate divisions that have for years operated independently will be very challenging. How does everyone feel? Can we make this happen and turn Cook Vascular into something great, or will this be a huge disaster and be the beginning of the end for Cook as a player in the vascular space?

    Also, thoughts on new leadership?

Hate to say it, but I fear the beginning of the end. I am still hopeful, but it is waning. With it dragging for so long, I have become more and more skeptical. My manager seemed frustrated with the process of going for the area business manager, and the lack of feedback received when they did not get the role. It has caused a lot of issues on our team. I can’t image them paying us fairly through this, nor not messing up territories in catastrophic ways for those of us who have put in the work and actually have relationships and business.

In terms of leadership, I have always heard great things about Mark, but personally don’t know him. I do know Andy and Logan. Andy seems to be half crazy, and I can never follow what he is saying or trying to get at. Logan comes across as one of the most arrogant people I have ever met and all about himself. Recently, some of my customers have met him at meetings, and they have been very turned off by him. I have had to salvage my and Cook’s reputation because of it. Hopefully, it hasn’t been the same for everyone.

Hoping things will work out, but dusting off the resume all the same.

This transformation is needed at all costs so we can keep up with what’s happening in the healthcare industry which needed to be done few years ago. Yes, territories will change and it happens all the time in sales (if you haven’t been in sales long enough or with another company) this is normal _ territories and compensation plans change all the time so deal with it. The issue is most ppl at Cook are too comfortable and lazy. This change scares ppl but it’s a way of life.
As far as leaders I don’t know them well enough but interviews have been fair and square. If you didn’t get the job is bc you weren’t the best candidate (again used to getting whatever you wanted at Cook) it’s changing and they truly are paying attention to who is qualified vs seniority or hurting ppl feelings which has been the Cook way. Sorry folks but this is the change we need. Painful and necessary with the right people where they belong like it should have been a long time ago

I thought that this division was shut down years ago and was only a manufacturing facility. Did that goofball with the sunglasses finally retire as president?

One thing to notice with Vascular is (in case you havent) no women or diversity in top. Sad! There are talented women for sure but for some reason none on upper management.

AI is taking over - never mind PI and IR and who’s lead management?
Mark is a great man with a vision
    Andy - I don’t know what’s he’s saying most of the time
Logan = arrogance - surprising to see an arrogant leader at Cook
We need bigger products to compete
Do we have too many layers with the new structure?

End for sure. Place is a disaster and is getting worse. I know all the leadership mentioned above and they have all been at Cook their whole careers. They have no clue what is going on and are way out of their league. No diversity. Only good old boys promoting good old boys.

I would never bring Logan to my territory ever again. He is a terrible listener and is only about himself.

Sales meeting should be a total garbage show. Can’t wait for it.

I have been in a wait and see position. However, I am done waiting. It’s not getting any better and is perhaps getting worse. Sad to see a great company stall for years and years. Their only survival is based on the baby boomer generation and having enough cases and business to go around. As the market gets more crowded or contracts Cook will continue to lose business. So sick of back orders, recalls, and not having any new or innovative products to sell. Time to jump ship.
