Same here. What was your thoughts on the job and company? From the sound of it, its a stable company where they treat reps well and don't micromanage. Its not a big money gig, I was told most tenured reps do about 110-120 with first year reps doing 80-90. Not very lucrative, but if your quality of life is good and they don't ride you with unhittable quotas this might not be a bad spot?

Yes most def, real good gig overall and solid structured company now. heard nothing but a good rap and good name, not huge & not small with solid products is an ideal opportunity. no micro, relaxed and give you time to grow and get it are all good in this cutthroat field.. no call back for interview but no worries from the looks of it, just search linkedin profiles... average looking reps, on the plump side and hitting 40... i definitely would not fit in with that

Aesculap is really trimming up things. Just got rid of the suture division because they don't understand the market. They just realigned the territories and the sales portfolio and brought everyone's pay to entry level type pay.

The energy side has had issues time and time again. Not competitive and no contracts in a commodity world...not smart. If you need a job fine, but if you have options look elsewhere.

Stay away! This company is trying to figure out who they are. The boys club in management have run things into the ground and now they are waking up to the shit storm they caused.

They just stopped giving commission and are now paying on a sliding scale bonus system. Most people are leaving this company. Recruiters are reporting that tons of people are trying to get out. Don't waste your time.

Interviewing for Laparoscopic and Energy division in NY. Is this a solid opportunity?

I interviewed for this position...get ready for Koolaid man because that's what you have to drink in this interview. Honestly they make good products and have a history of doing so. Sounded good on paper but the guy I met with is Mr. Military and expects you to have your life mapped out. I didn't get a call back but I don't care. Keep rolling on...

Any news on the energy division called Caiman? How does it compare with Ligasure and JnJ?

It's not a matter of comparing to JnJ or Medtronic, because it is really good. It's a matter of contracts. Aesculap isn't on any contracts, GPOs for energy and given that hospitals view this as a commodity now, Caiman is going nowhere. If Aesculap sold Caiman to a company that does get on contracts it would fly off the shelves.

  10. Been with the Lap/Energy division for short time and I’m already looking. The eastern manager is a compulsive liar. He acts likes he is a surgery expert and I’ve caught him not knowing what the hell he is talking about too many times. Micromanager doesn’t event come close to describing him. You don’t leave companies, you leave bad managers.

Apparently you don’t have the ability to do this job. 65k base and cap out at $130? Sounds good for a lot of winners, I guess it’s not for everyone...especially you!

Settle down guys! You are both losers! Caiman needs to be bought by a real company not a glorified distribution company. It needs improvements but by the time you did all that, you end up with a quality product like Ligasure.

Too late to join the party...enjoy staying at home with your mom!

I was talking with my manager and he said that my company is pitching hard to buy Caiman from Aesculap. Has anyone heard that? Anyone at Aesculap?

Who had articulation first? Caiman or Enseal?

caiman I think was first. However jnj has better marketing. Ligasure doesn’t articulate because it doesn’t need to.
