. Some of us really want to see the US organization succeed but right now it is failing. We know some people needed to go. But Abhay is not managing the PR so no one know who he wants to go and who is just bailing the shit show. Result is all want to bail. We know Indian culture is different but in the US, especially the North East , the most competitive Pharma market in the world means everyone has dozens of options. Right now we are losing good talent over bad, and without stable talent pool we will not succeed. We need an A+ team for Tildrakizumab and OTX. I have made up my mind to quit if I don't see meaningful changes in the next 3 -6 months.

The place will melt down in 2018 unless there are some changes. Let's provide them direct to Dilip

Tell. the people you want to stay and provide proper incentives. The company profile is sub par, so we need better than competition incentives to stay. Add extra retention through the launches. Where is LTI? Sorry, but money says you are serious. Dilip and Abhay need to walk the floor and tell people why to stay. Resource HR properly and provide real HRBP support. Fix legal and HCNA, not helping everyone's feel good factors ( fix = fire CD). Create some corporate culture that isn't all negative. This has to come from Abhay. He needs serious coaching asap or will be a massive failure with Us exec team. Sorry, nice guy but out of his depth on EQ. Send mini day back to India. He insults our intelligence daily.

Let's add advice to Dilip, or just fold up this shop...

I compliment the original poster, they're correct on all points. I'd like to make some additional comments.

There are some good people still here and most genuinely want to see the company succeed for many reasons, not just because it's our livelihood.

    That said, let's dive in:

    - Abhay is a mess. He's got the quantitative skills, but after that, he's failing. Badly. Not a single person here has any trust in him, nothing he can say or do will matter, no one believes anything he says. Period.

So, it doesn't matter if he whispers to a select audience that he wants them to stay. He's done that with several people (no less than 6 KEY employees) AFTER they resigned. They extended the courtesy of hearing him out, but NOT A SINGLE ONE changed their minds. They all said f-you, and using Abhay's own terms, they fired him by leaving. I'd argue 1-2 of the most recent 15-20 people who left actually should have gone. Many of our reigning COE winners left this year, turnover has to be in the 30% range in derm, likely closer to 50-60% on Levulan.

And basically, everyone wants to jump ship.

The open gaps are killing us - positions in the home office can't be filled, no one in Pharma who does any homework would come here. Plus, processes are ridiculous - really? It's absurd what's required to get something done.

Total compensation is weak, and does not support retention, nor attraction of talent (witness recent 'leadership' add).

Legal is inept. As the OP stated, you need to 'fix' (fire) compliance. You're being lied to by both leads there. HR has zero, zero input - they're execution of Abhay's rules at best.

And mini-day, that's code for mini-Abhay, or mini-bay. You know who that is. Bright guy no doubt, but we don't trust him at all, and that won't change. Ever. He's burned people and they won't forget.

Even the 'American Indians' at Sun are trash talking leadership. They're embarrassed by their countrymen. You own that Dilip, you're to blame as well. Your stock with us is devaluing quickly, so you need to make some major changes.

We're hanging on by a thread, but it's chafing under the stress of a complete lack of trust in leadership, no strategy or vision from anyone, increased competition, market access challenges, compliance, processes, and the sheer number of people leaving the company.

I hate to say this, really, but I've grown embarrassed to say I work for Sun. I don't feel good about that and I want that to change. I'm doing everything I can, but we need to see something from you.

Not just words, but real change.

Sun won't meltdown in 2018. They are one step ahead of narrow minded folks like you.
Do us a favor and give your two weeks notice. Let a hungry,go getter, team player take your spot.

    Mediocrity would be an improvement.

So, exactly how is SUN 'one step ahead'?

    C'mon, tell us.

I expext my offer to come in any day now.
Half the posts on here say the compensation is weak, half say Sun pays top dollar "because they need to in order to hire people." Which is it? What should I expect?

    I'm expecting 80-85k base, 40k bonus.
    Is that accurate? High/low?

Both are true, here's the explanation.

For the derm business, reps are a dime a dozen, so 80-85k plus 40-50 in bonus is in line. On the biologics side, new reps are getting significantly more, like 130-150 plus bonus.
Particularly on the biologics side, Sun is struggling to attract decent talent, and they're having to pay a little more bc they need a full, new salesfore. Supply and demand so to speak.

Regardless, the company is in a dire situation. Tildra is not yet approved, hopefully it will be. But there's risk premium with this company, buyer beware, it may fold in the US. Reputation among derms is horrible.

    Your call.

Derms HATE Sun Pharma, they will NOT RX TIldra....IF it's even approved so enjoy those big salaries....for a few months, lol.

I am in Derm here. I don't think it's THAT bad. But yes my base is 80. I hear they are also hiring a small sales force to call on nursing homes. Curious if they are getting paid DERM money or BIO money.

Who ever wrote this is the reason. They hired Pathetic people who couldn’t get hired anywhere else.

    Pathetic

Also do you realize why Sun is in this condition???

Because they possess Job Lots type products

This is not Nordstrom’s. This is Ollie’s Bargain House of shitty drugs

But India thought they had diamonds when they actually had quartz!!!

You are either delusional or a shill for Sun (or perhaps an ROD? aka: "relative of Dilip"?). The company is a train wreck, on fire. NO leadership and they treat employees like garbage, say there's a winning formula!
