Sun CHRO calls it quits

    The year 2018 started with a lot of movements and recently Yashwant Mahadik has moved out from his role as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Sun Pharma. The Indian drug major appointed Mahadik, to lead HR initiative for it's 30,000 emoloyees.

    Mahadik is a seasoned global HR professional who has over 29 years of experience across industries and geographies in top companies such as Crompton Greaves, Colgate Palmolive, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson. Before joining Sun Pharma, he was based out of Netherlands and worked with Royal Philips as the Global Head of HR Business Transformation, IT & Operations. One of his successful initiatives in Philips was establishing the Philips University in 2014. His experience is very diverse and varies across industries/sectors like Technology, Consumer, and Healthcare) and geographies like India, UK, Japan, USA, ASEAN and Europe).

    His areas of expertise include Strategy, HR and Business Transformation, Leadership Development, Organization and Culture building, Capability Building, Workforce Design & Planning, Talent Management and Succession Planning, Merger/Acquisition Integration and Executive Coaching. He has led transformation programs and initiatives in J&J and Philips at the enterprise level.

    Mahadik is an alumnus of the University of Sheffield from where he completed his M.B.A in International Human Resources. In addition to being a stalwart in the HR fraternity, According to his LinkedIn bio, he is also a keen photographer. Currently, he is incubating a new and personal venture "Yash Mahadik Photography" in the dedication of a noble charitable cause.
