can someone other than the person drinking the juice please give some examples of why this company is worth working for? I’m currently interviewing with Applied for an associate role here in the Northeast, and between the recruiters, reps I know in the industry, some nurses, and the years worth of negative posts on here, I’m very hesitant to make the move to come here. The only positive thing I’ve heard is that a monkey could do this job and the company generally leaves you alone because the real selling is done at the national level. Any genuine or real feedback with examples would be greatly appreciated.

The job will be like any other job. You put in the work, you'll do well. You want to work 3 hour days and spend time on the links, you won't do well and you'll get frustrated because your manager will be on you wondering what the fuck is going on. Company is definitely growing and expanding. Can't say that about everyone in this industry. Lots of people have made long term careers here. Lots have not. If the gig works for you, that's great. If not, then move on to something that does. People find reason to gripe and complain on here, which is easy to do since it's an anonymous message board. Don't base your opinion on other reps in the industry or past reps of the company or even this board. It's all negative and you'll only get one perspective. Find reps who've been here a while and find out why. They're usually the ones out working, not posting to CF.

If you're looking to break into Med Device sales than it's a good move. If you're already in it's probably a step backwards. Pay is decent compared to jobs outside of device but bottom of the barrel for device. Yes, a ton of opportunity for this company to grow but based on their track record you'll need to be prepared to wait a long time, 3-5 yrs. If you're really that good, you shouldn't last that long and will move on to a better role at a better company. If you're happy making 50k-80k you can stay there a long time. Most sales professionals are interested in improving themselves and challenges which this job can only support for 2-3 yrs max. After that, it will be time to find a better company and position and advance your career from there. Most people there are either drunk on corporate kool-aid, not good enough to leave, waiting for a windfall that's never coming, or prefer to have an easy job that pays decent compared to other industries. It's a place to start career but not to have one.

I think this is a great review of Applied. I think the amount you will take home if you are a TM will be about $90k-$110k but the $50k-$80k is spot of if it's a TMA role. Great way to get access to cases and learn. If you are trying to break into the industry I think you can't go wrong there. Nobody starts off with a job making $300k right off the bat, we all had to put in work to get where we are now. Good luck and don't listen to the haters on here. Applied wasn't a bad place for me to make my start.

I liked working at Applied. Spending time on the links was also awesome. If you have a cool boss, it's the best job on the planet. 10 hours a week for work, 30 on the course. I left to make more money elsewhere but during my tenure, I lowered my handicap by almost 12 shots. I consider that a win.

why are all the good managers and reps quitting? Comp plan is real good this year, must be Those loser Zonies. They are deflectors and finger pointers.....NOT one was successful rep at Applied or they were fired cause they couldn’t hack it or they lack the education to be anything in the real world

Everyone I know has started looking for another job. Voyant is never going to go over. I actually think Voyant is a very good product, but let's face the facts, it's not going to supplant Ligasure no matter how hard they it's pushed. We all know it and most of the managers who are good know it too.

Reality is the comp plan will not be as good next year, probably weighted much heavier on Voyant. If you stick around you not going to make nearly as much money as this year and you're going to be miserable with the pressure to sell Voyant.

I wouldn't be surprised if 25-30% of the reps and managers are gone by the end of Q1 next year.

we have already lost 25% and now they are NOT hiring. Company going to lose another 20% of people and still won’t pay the people willing to stay.

So many other jobs out there

Listen nerd, quit pretending you work for a real medical device company. You work for Applied Medical. It’s D-League and second rate at best. You know it, I know if, everyone in the industry knows it. Recruiters can’t find anyone to work here b/c even they are D-League. The trocars fall apart or crack, can’t hold pneumo, crappy visibility, retrieval bags rip, want me to keep going? Just face the facts: you would never be able to get a job anywhere else that’s a serious player. I’m sick of these “managers” acting like they’re Varsity football players who get the cheerleaders when, in fact, you’re band nerds and chess club geeks that have horrific systemic acne, snaggle-tooth teeth, clothes from Good Will, a thimble for a dick, and couldn’t do a shot of whiskey to put hair on your chest if your life depended on it. Now go back to playing Fortnite in your mommy’s basement and google “how to eat out a girl.” At least I’m giving you some real life advice
