Get out while you can. Its a rigged game. Sales is not what it used to be. Today, the politics is too much for even the best.

Do something better than sales. If you have to do sales, find a small and private company that will allow some degree of creativity.

Otherwise, you will wither away and destroy yourself, having to deal with these zombies with no soul and who will stab you in the back if it benefits them.

it is so true...what a God awful profession to choose now...Of course, the lap tops and tracking devices (phones)
add an extra degree of sinister to the whole thing...What a terrible way to make a living...I really regret the path I took now that I am in my 50s...

It really is a rigged (winner take all) game and the greed in Senior Management doesn't leave to many crumbs to trickle down to the serfs...

So true! the managers are the most uninspiring assholes on the planet, back stabbing co-workers, "managers favorites" have to be the worst...and meetings...I'd rather hang myself! It's really pathetic. I'm 47 and stuck!

I am so happy to be retired from this corrupt and unethical world of pharmaceutical selling. When I was hired, we for the most part, had reps and managers who knew the meaning of the word pharmaceutical. My company sent me a new manager who was an ex big grocery store manager who was an embarrassment to take into a doctors office. Companies then began hiring ex business machine, auto rental , jocks, cheerleaders , etc who didn't know a polyp from a pumpkin and thus the slide downwards the once proud profession went. Sad, very sad.

good posting...so true...when I started back in the 80s it was a good job that hired some pretty darn bright people to interact intelligently with physicians...

that all the diversity crap started and women inundated the industry...

    game over...

Agreed. I preferred when we all looked alike.
