Can anyone offer real info on the ACell Hernia division? When ACell first hit the market years ago in powder form, docs I know hated it and the company. Has this changed and are the Gentrix sheets effective? How is the company culture these days? (Atypical CafePharma answers would be appreciated, if not expected...)

Why not just contact the company and ask?

While I have info from the company, I was looking for something more than the approved marketing department messaging. You may accept everything a company tells you, but I prefer info from multiple sources before forming an opinion

Hernia division? Most reps don't know about the fact ACell is building its own hernia division. Kind of a strange move because it would be competing with the current reps selling into hernia already. The idea from what I understand was developed because of the belief that current reps don't know how to sell hernia. Ha. So you are not going to get an honest answer from anyone in management.

Yeah, anonymous comments on Cafepharma are a WONDERFUL way to find out what actually going on at any company. Corporate legal teams are getting pretty good at figuring out who is bashing their company.

The average hernia rep makes $200 at a good company

Acell has always had hernia devices that are now called Gentrix. Your questions and tone are highly suspect. Why did the docs you know hate the powder and the company? Sounds to me like you are a competitor or a possible hire.
