I am a recruiter in the medical device arena. Can someone explain in the most professional way possible, why the mass exodus from iRhythm?

Mainly a major change in sales management that has affected most people who were previously successful. Morale is down across the sales org but there are still a few TMs who are cheerleading in hopes of someday landing an RSD role. Most of the employees who were previously in a sales support role, like SAMs, were promoted unilaterally to Territory Manager and at least one junior SAM manager with little to no actual sales experience was promoted to RSD. Those types of people are over the moon because they are making a lot more money and gained instant credibility and respect without having to actually earn it. Connect to those folks if you want to sell your candidate on the company because they are generally happy. Product is strong, stock doing great! I am not sure why people are leaving in San Fran, Chi or OC.

Older management is clueless and level of micromanagement and conference calls is annoyingly useless and the newer managers are now realizing that what they signed up for isn't what they thought. Nobody is making their number therefore no money. The commercial contracts are taking longer to acquire and asking a physician to prescribe a "holter" that usually costs $0 for the patient, now will cost up to $995 is a tough sale for both the reps to the practices and physicians to their patients. The clinical data does not back the messaging and the competitors are coming fast and furious. Many managers and reps fall flat on their faces in front of the client spewing the company messaging. Complete bs sale and company.

So... Iwas contacted by two recruiters regarding the TN position. I'm very tenured in my position currently and was not really looking. Sale me on why I should make the move.

Who are the top competitors that are launching new products in this space? Anything unique on the horizon? Seems like a lot of "me too" products coming to market

A recruiter reached out to me today about a position in TX? How is the product doing? Company culture good? Seems like reimbursement wasn’t good in previous threads, has that improved?

I was just contacted by a recruiter about a territory manager position. Can anyone please let me know how culture is, how is product doing in market and realistic pay?

Looks like the company has been doubling revenue every year for past several years. Usually when there is growth like that you don't see the types of comments you see on here about iRhythm. Typically that means company has differentiated products that customers like and everyone is making money.

How is that not the case here?

    Serious replies only please.

Actual money or golden stock option handcuffs? Not too many people are happy but most of us are stuck here because our stock is vesting and we hate to leave money on the table. At least 10 competitors out there that have something on us - price, features, workflow solutions, etc,, but yet our goals keep going up, territories shrinking (reduced opportunity). Let's see where things land after GSM in Nashville and who leaves right after that meeting. All the competitors are hiring and recruiters call on a regular basis. Should be interesting.

I've been here two years. For the most part, I'm pretty happy with my decision. I hear some complaining from my colleagues in the south about local leadership. In some ways, the company is still figuring things out with such rapid growth. Leadership seems to listen and be willing to adjust. With regards to cutting territories, there is so much untapped opportunity that I can barely get to half the accounts I have currently so that doesn't resonate. I get my fair share of calls from recruiters from the competition almost weekly. While the package offers are great, they simply do not have the breadth and quality of service that irhythm has and many of them I don't believe will be around in 5 years. My director is very strong and my VP is as well. Our recent sales meeting was great and morale seems to be really high. I look for ability to be successful, ability to make great money, great working and team environment and chance to be promoted...I have all of that here so far.

There is no transparency at this company I hear. They pull quotas out of nowhere and give people sales awards that never hit their number. They don’t post jobs and people leave after two years usually.

Most unethical company in the industry! The CEO will be leaving soon and the COO is so misguided by a few EVPs, we had hope he would make changes however, he is making all the wrong ones by keeping his EVP of sales. RSDs are so unhappy it is obvious to us. It has been a great run. People should get out while they can....I hear some pending lawsuits are coming soon. Maybe the right changes will follow! It’s unfortunate great product and service.

Breadth, really? You mean our one product? You need to look up the definition of breadth

You must be in the Central region and one of the chosen favorites, just don’t fall out of grace. Just keep kissing up to the right sales leaders and you won’t get a high quota and win president’s club and get promoted too.

Your VP must not be the same as the rest of the sales force VP. I heard promotions were supposed to be announced today and once again they can’t deliver on anything they promise to and none of the reps know anything. Your company is a joke. The only thing you have going for you is the new AVP who came from Medtronic. He won’t stick around though. It will be a few months before he sees through the corruption.
