No one has yet commented on this disaster! ZS is paid how much? Or maybe bad Merck data into ZS leads to even worse Merck data? Entire territories having to be redrawn to accommodate this monstrous data snafu that they're paying reps to correct at 2 grand a week each to work on instead of holding ZS or someone accountable. All the while Merck reps are distracted, customers are not attended to.... just watch that Januvia fall...
the decks are a mess! you can tell ZS.. the vendor that did the realignment did a piss poor job.. instead of taking prior merck activity.. like if a rep was seeing the doc... at a specific address and zip.. . and then have the new rep who has that zip and address pick up where the last left off.. docs are missing.. a lot of wrong ones are put in.. etc... its a mess to clean up the deck... IF you know the area already to have the knowledge to fix it.. which a lot are new to the area... AND the neighborhoods can be horrible fits given real world traffic conditions.. you can tell they just use generic mileage as a gauge.. not traffic patterns .. so you can take 40 mins to get from one neighborhood to another if ur in a big city.. shows that internal stakeholders weren't in the mix making decisions.. which would have tipped folks off to the layoff of course...
What a fucked up system. Allow ZS to determine future of Merck. Let the managers get involved in adjusting territories and reps that make sense.
someone or some people need to be fired. yesterday. not sure why all this wasn't figured out way before january.
Agree. The sales reps at Merck have great relationships within their territories which will translate into tremendous sales for Steglatro
Nice that Merck kept all the relationships intact by keeping reps calling on territories they had great relationships with
doctors will write it if it’s on formulary. Relationships mean little in pharma. Access is min8mal as are relationships in this field. The turnover has been so high in pharma and Merck relationships are nearly completely gone for all. The impact of a pharma rep is minimal. It’s formulary. That’s it. In the rare case that multiple me too products are in the same formulary position...maybe....big maybe the relationship with one rep will make a difference. That is if you can actually develop a relationship since most offices are sample drop or closed to reps
Who is responsible for these geographies? Why would Merck give up the relationships built to launch a new drug with these changed geographies? Steglatro will suck. What a mess
I was a hospital rep forever and got placed in pc, aka chronic care. What a hot mess, crappy products, horrible access. I'm 50 years old and cannot take this child like job anymore.
Then it’s time to go. That’s how you know retirement is getting nearer. Your nerves and churning guy will keep reminding you almost daily.
If you are 50 and have been in hospital’ forever’ why in the heck didn’t you OPT OUT????? You had a huge severance and a bridge to 55 in pension handed to you on a silver platter yet you chose to stay here ‘WHY’???!! Lol.... you deserve this mess.
