The yearly thread. Post all you know. I don't think there will be many this year. Not like in the past.

  2. The economy is doing well and Donald Trump gave everybody bonuses!

You're a loser who sits at home and creates CafePharma threads and every night you comment on your own posts and those of other companies you were fired or rejected from. Get a god damn life.

Truth is truth. Abbott ,like all companies, cuts workers when needed. Just can't hide it anymore....

Let's make a wager. I say that by the end of January Miles will wield the axe. Not the big 3K to 4K RIFs he did half a decade ago but some cuts. Happens almost every year right before and right after the Q4 announcement. And I assume your stance is that no layoffs are coming.

Remember, Abbott absorbed several companies last year. Business tradition calls for workforce consolidation to save money due to employee redundancies.

I have many friends. I did startups and made enough not to work anymore. Good luck to all those at ABT...you will need it.

The former SJM manufacturing site in Scottsdale shutdown their third shift production assembly operations almost entirely.

33 production operators, 2 coordinators, 2 qc operators, and 1 supervisor were let go the Friday before Thanksgiving.

Just a skeleton crew of people are left.

Working in corporate - I know some monitor this channel - so watch what you say. I know they have already gotten rid of people in territories they collapsed into new ones last year. The business is not gaining in some states like VA - they continue to lose business and contracts to MJ. The leadership is weak and pharma sales driven. Instead of going to wine tasting parties and Napa trips the leadership especially in pediatric nutrition need to remove their head from their asses. Roger has no clue how leadership like Robyn in the SE is killing our business.
