Please no one from an Amgen background, their mentality on launching a drug can provide enough comic material for SNL to last for several years.

Hopefully, it will be someone who has been a pharmaceutical NSD before, not formerly Amgen, has worked with a hub (not buy and bill) and worked for a START-UP prior to this gig.
We need someone who is salesy and can fight for the RSSs. The comp plan is a nightmare and upper management does not know how to designed one. The consultant company has never done this before and never been in sales so they have no REAL concept as to what is motivating or works. All they really know is how to run spreadsheets, spin the numbers to impress Dr. Frost and be "yes men" while the sales force goes to shit. No more metrics or spreadsheets please.
Let's hire a REAL NSD that has a clue.

You were spot on until you mentioned Dr.F and a candidate with a backbone. Never going to happen. He owns the sandbox and enjoys controlling the toys.

Maybe the new NSD will know how to design a motivating compensation plan. Rolling over money from one quarter to the next quarter is NOT an "uncapped plan". It shows that many people are not going to get paid and the company is limiting the money they are going to payout. They didn't rollover all of the extra money from last quarter to this quarter.

    More lies.

Are we actually getting a NSD? Hadn't heard any updates on that or the new reps or managers other than what was mentioned on the town hall.

What are the chances that the new NSD will be an external candidate?

Given the attitude of insiders here in the renal division I hope it will be an external candidate...

Heard HR has expanded the search for the NSM position by contacting prisons for those soon to be paroled with previous sales experience. Let me be the first to welcome you to Opko where no previous experience within the CKD market is necessary in order to get hired but you do have to know how to pack bags quickly. "Jimmy Was Here" will be your sign ontop of the office wall you've just moved into. Poor guy was the best! Challenged everything and was run out of here because of it.

It was on the flow chart in Dec.'s Town Hall. You can bet that it is going to happen.
