Abbott used the money earned from the backs of the Neuro reps and bought, Boots, then Kos then solvay and many others along the way. Then they started buying Me-Too Generic companies in 3rd world countries.

Only thing they forgot was to get something for the Neuro team to sell after they paid for all..yes..all of these other things. opps, no co promote when other cns companies got them, no new drug...Oh I forget out scientist have not had one of their own in 20 years or so.

1st product to reach a Billion dollars. around 95% profitaility. always a small sales force who over performed..... and the thanks they get.

Yep, you know it. GOOD BYE!

Just shows doesnt matter how good your performance is, we are all just a number on a map to abbott. Geography probably most important factor in who goes an who stays.

Sick to hear that S.R. in Ohio is gone as well as M.H. in Chicago. Both were great people and so good at what they did.

It was KNOLL, not Boots (Boots bought by Knoll). And let's not forget with Knoll came the now precious Humira. Abbott also picked up hydrocodone molecule with the Knoll acquisition. And let's NOT FORGET Knoll's cash cow - SYNTHROID! THIS WAS THE ONLY REALLY SMART purchase by Abbott. The rest were strategic share moves with Kos and Solvay - Niaspan and Tricor.

I can’t believe Depakote isn’t generic yet. I left Abbott 17 years ago and I assumed there were only 5 years left on their patent.
