It doesn't even matter. The news just hit the street this morning that the key ingredient used in the new migraine product is manufactured in South Korea. That plant just got slapped with a FDA violation and now the drug will be delayed. The hits just keep coming. Time to get out!!!
One of those products is the migraine therapyfremanezumab. Back in December, when the FDA accepted the therapy’s Biologics License Application and gave it fast track designation, the therapy looked to be zipping along to approval. But a big barrier emerged this month, a FDA warning letter for a large manufacturing facility in South Korea where fremanezumab’s active pharmaceutical ingredient is produced.
