HR has one job and that is to protect the organization. That includes gutting you like a salty pig if you are recognized as a problem. So is there one honest HR person? No. I have personally overheard cell conversations where an HR person stated everything was off the record only to hang up and call a director with a verbatim rehash of what was just said. Their job isn't to fuck you over but if it happens in the course of a day, we'll all the better. Interesting bunch who generate zero revenue yet wield director level clout. And yes, something is wrong with that scenario.

AMEN. Isn't that group reforming though?

JNJ has outsourced its "personnel problems" part of the business to limit liability solely. HR still remains as eyes and ears on the street and process hiring and firing. The emphasis is on the firing. As in "how can I move this person out" counseling to the managers. That is the tricky part and hiring could be performed by anyone. I really can't understand as to why as I don't think it lowers their liability any.

The smart ones parlayed this crap into a nice comfy severance package. But the key word here is smart. My friend played them at their own game and won. Never has to work a day again in his ice. In the meantime, the posers are growing tired old, bald, wrinkled and miserable trying to survive to 55. Ain't going to happen!

JBI Leadership and dumb as dirt go hand in hand. The group of RBDs is a laughing stock to the industry. Marti cleared the reps out but didn’t do much with the DM and RBD levels. She took out older white males but not the complete douchebags that are killing the company. In the end JBI Immunology has continued to lose market share and blow launches thanks to het inability to take the real trash out. Too bad. I’m now rooting for these band off posers to fail in a big way. To date they haven’t let me down. I don’t have a pension to lose. Time to short sale the stock.

JBI guy dumb as dirt? That implicates every man in management with very few exceptions. Frankly, this is an incredibly stupid organization. After the Repubs finish wrecking the human services department they are going after pharma. JnJ will be devastated when it is required to operate like real company and show true operating profits without government protection. Any leaders at JBI up for that challenge? Very few is my guess.

I just love the RBDs and senior leaders that get stinking drunk at meetings. One RBD was so drunk at a DOME program the restaurant thought she was having a seizure. Thanks for putting together this stellar team of ass clowns to ruin the organization.
