Hoping someone could fill me in on benefits, 401k, vacation, company car...all the stuff I don't want to bring up in an interview. I also appreciate the would be comedians and a-holes for their responses as well. Thanks guys.
I will do my good deed for the day: Health Care is pretty standard stuff, Vacation starts at 3 weeks and you can not roll it over so you save a couple days and take off the xmas break which they do not give you. Obviously though you keep your time and no one really checks. Company car is provided and gas card and they are mediocre choices: Ford subaru. If you need a 4 wheel drive they offer it but if you don't need four wheel the two wheel drive options are usually well equipped. 401k is interesting: they offer standard and roth but they only match once per year in feb/march for the previous year. The match is in company stock and if it goes up there were years they contributed 25 grand. They base the price on a art level and if it is rising you can make out very well. You do have to work 1000 hours to qualify so get your start date going or you will not qualify this year and you would need to wait until March 2019 for a match. You get a couple hundred off a gym membership and the flex care accounts. Overall still a very good place to work but not as good as it used to be. You are welcome
Hey, I appreciate it. If you read posts on every single company on CP you'd think they all were the worst places to work on the planet. Hard to figure out what is real and what is just general complaining. I have always heard Celgene is a good company and I'll be interviewing soon. But, I'm looking at other places too. Just want to make the best decision. Thanks again for the info.
they used to pay top dollar but since MA is running the ship (into the iceberg field) it is subpar. Oncology salaries for even seasoned people are $110-$115k. I&I ....no idea----even less. Bonus in Onc is target of $40k "uncapped" but #1 in country might do $50k but won't ever make more than $10k more than lowest guy on the list. Hope that helps.
The best part is the equity. You get equity every quarter and some RSU's every year. I accrued life changing money at Celgene and it is still one of the few Large Companies that offers this perk. Good Luck and I would also not necessarily agree with the base pay comment. When I left I was at 143. Good Luck
What is typical salary range for a manager level role as well as target bonus? Company car choices or allowance?
Hemonc Managers Salaries $125k - $200k depending on experience; $65 target bonus + equity I&I Managers Salaries $115k-$175k depending on experience; $50k target bonus + equity Decent Car choices
Reps just got reduced to 1000 options per year and 100 RSU's given out twice per year( 200 total). Still ok but not as good as it used to be. Reps used to get 500 options every quarter and managers would get 1000 options every quarter. Not sure if the managers got reductions when the reps did about 2 years ago.
Thank you for the honest replies. If you don't mind answering what type of base and bonus would a Rheumatology rep make? Thank you.
Rheum reps are 89-95k base. Bonus is really dependent on your territory. Some have WAY more targets than others, and nothing you can do about it. Celgene was not thinking when they put them together. But at least they are not quick to fire you! Almost as if they know they creating an unfair playing field.
Yes I don’t think anyone on my team has a base less than 100k. I got brought on at 136k with 4 yrs of Rheum exp.
