I heard from my Idexx rep that the company is expanding their sales force. I manage a veterinary practice (9 years) and have a lot of experience in the veterinary field, but no direct sales experience. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what they're looking for in a candidate and what the base salary they offer is (roughly), as they ask for an expected salary on their application. Any information would help.

No offense but with no sales expierance you probably wont get an interview. As part of a face to face interview you have to go through a 2 hour sales simulation which is based on a fictitious product far outside of animal health. my advice is to try to parly your management expierance into sales. im sure you sold products and stuff to clients. But honestly dont hold your breath. good luck.

What is the average compensation for someone with a solid track record (Top 10 3 times in 10 year career)?

I see culture is solid and company is growing though what does the "inside" of the company have to say?

    Thanks!

I would like to know base and compensation as well for a 10+ year rep with a successful track record.
Can anyone give honest base pay range and commission for the diagnostic sales position?

Probably a base of 60-90k depending on experience and track record with around a 40k bonus yearly (paid out quarterly) if you hit your goals.

Base is 60-95 based on experience. At plan is 16k per quarter with the ability to outperform that. Top reps average 25k per quarter.

Can someone tell me what the Salary range is for the Veterinary Diagnostic Specialist role? I am looking at the role and would really appreciate knowing this. Thanks!
