I agree with a lot of the previous post but I would like to add a positive about mazor. I worked there a couple years ago and used it as a platform to get into medical sales. I was a csr at mazor and no one else would even hide me as an associate. They hired me with no medical or real sales background. I used my limited time there to get a new job. I would definitely not advise anyone with real Med exp to work there on any level though. It's a top heavy company that could careless about reps or compensation. It's an easy, low stress job to get exp.

Previous post spot on . I would recommend all CSR's sell something on the side and pick up a screw line 1099. Then you can make a competitive living in med device .

This is the only organization in med device that has a ceiling for sales reps, incentives reps to not blow it out of water but do bare minimum to get paid .

Way too many executives and unnecessary "managers" with high salaries eating up comp that provide no real value to bottom line .

I don't think the csm in the south east has left his house in over a year .

I dont get why people hate being a csr here ? We make 50 bucks a case guys ! Why are you complaining? Plus we get to share it with all the other reps in our region and sharing is caring ! Being a csr is great . I do all this marketing so my capital guy closes a deal down the street and he buys me a case of beer after. I love it here !

I was approached about a CSR position here. I was told to expect to make 150k at plan year one and top CSR's are making 175k. Is this attainable? I am currently a Clinical at intuitive and willing to take 50k less If there is potential to make more down the line.

    Thanks for your input.

Absolutely not. Who ever gave you that information is deceiving you. I am currently a csr at Mazor (for now, I'm looking for other opp's now) and I can tell you without a doubt that you will not come close to $150. At best you can expect around $115 and that's in a top territory and crushing your number. The vast majority of the capital reps don't even make $150 and that's mostly because the system is next to impossible to sell. Do yourself and family a huge favor and don't come work here.

Interested in the same thing, any insight from current or previously employed csr's?

Hiring CSR's like crazy and we just were incentivized to push MDT screws, so things are changing. Hopefully for better.

Most toxic culture, zero financial opportunity and quality of life, with reps and managers who have no idea how to sell. If Medtronic takes over they will clean out the managers and reps. The company makes no profit and all are waiting to cash in their $tock.

The good is that you are representing a robotic technology and not a commodity. The bad is that Medtronic will try to value Engingeer the division. May mean a couple layoffs in spots but more likely a poor compensation plan. Either way, if you think the culture you created at Mazor is going to move with you to Medtronic, you are naive. Good luck.

There are no sales reps at Mazor. Not even the managers understand sales or management. It will be interesting for them.

If you’re 25-30 yrs old with no real sales, operating room, or spine experience, and don’t mind planning the whole robotic spine surgery with the risk of killing or paralyzing the patient if one of many details is missed then it’s good for you. Oh yeah all of this with immature and arrogant pseudo managers who have no idea how to lead not to mention manage. Be prepared to travel and be in the lowest financial tier for Med Device under six figures. If this is you, you’re a fit.

It’s a fact that reps here plan the robotic surgery for their spine surgeons. Ask others in spine. If that’s denied then there is more than a credibility problem. Denying the truth then arguing for credibility. Pretty deceptive. For the those thinking people, sounds like an Ad Hominem.
