A good job with another diabetes company is on my radar, mostly covering the same territoryI have now. Do the non-competes hold? Is it state by state? I am almost ready to leave CrazyTown and may take a leap.
Unless you are an executive or possibly in research, a non-compete clause means nothing. As a field sales rep you can go to another diabetes company. You don't take company secrets or proprietary information so not a big deal. Good luck and getting out!
Don't worry about the non-compete. We can't preclude you from earning a living. Look at how many DBMs and RBDs we have that were cut from Sanofi, BMS, Pfizer. When you land, please let us know how things are going. We want to applaud you for being able to get out of this looney bin!
Thanks for the answers. A PIP threat after two weeks of data goes to show how the culture has changed. I don't know if I want to work like this if I don't have to. Well- I may not have an option if I don't turn it around in a month! Lol- kinda.
Hello all, I know this is a very old thread, but I am hoping that folks who have been through this before could help with some specifics. I am in the research side, not sales, and the chances of my non-compete being enforced are fairly high. I am assuming that: A) the salary they pay for the year is the Novo base salary, not the salary of the job you would otherwise be taking, B) that Novo quits covering any kind of medical, etc and that all of that goes back to the "non-employee" to pay via COBRA, and C) that the standard minimum yearly bonuses disappear - base salary only with no adjustments because it is no longer a "job" and the details of the prior contract are void. Are these correct? How did the details work in your particular situations? I am thinking of going this route and just trying to figure out what I could count on. Best regards!
