Does any one know if the ban on promoting white males has been lifted? Based on the recent brand/marketing calls where white guy sightings were about as common a sasquatch sighting, I'm guessing the exclusion ban is still in effect.

Yep, it started back around 2004. I survived and got out gracefully.

I would think so since the new heads of commercial and R&D are white males.

White males are only interviewed in a pool of women to give the appearance of fairness. I have seen extremely qualified white males get passed over for promotions in favor of females that have been in pharma 3-5 years. There are some great women leaders in this company and there are some complete train wrecks too.

So many opportunities you can't count them all!

A token white male or two might be interviewed or even hired every once in a great while to prevent litigation. But, make no mistake, the goal in the US business is to hire or appoint as many females as possible to leadership roles. This has and will continue to be done regardless of qualifications for the foreseeable future.

Agreed. Affirmative Action at its finest. Should hire based on qualifications.
