Wtf...I recently interviewed for a role in Competitive Intelligence at Genentech, but I heard horror stories about the leader of that group...incompetent leader, manipulative manager. Has anyone heard anything about this? I really like the idea of working in CI, but this early feedback doesn't bode well....curious what the real story is.

Unfortunately, competitive intelligence at Genentech is new in many franchises. Shame on the company for waiting so long to understand this important aspect of the business. No surprise that the leadership is incompetent. Maybe after DNA gets its ass kicked by competitors a few more times will management wake up. Holdover elitist mentality.

Here’s some help for your competitive intelligence. Merck had Keytruda sales over a $B in Q3. Meanwhile Tecentic sales ticked down in Q3.

I think I know who you’re taking about - the head of US CI? Yeah that person has a pretty pretty bad rep. But not to worry, the entire department is in the middle of a reorganization and I hear they no longer have a role.

Unless we get a positive Tecentriq/Chemo trial soon, this product is in trouble.
