It appears to be a lot of skepticism to what is going on. Is there any real truth to upcoming layoffs or is everyone just assuming and being facetious about layoffs?

Here's the truth. The only people that know would be RL and his cronies. And guess what? They're not going to tell anyone what they're up to and it sure as heck won't be posted here.

If you get an email saying to book flights for the March meeting = no layoffs. If you don't get the email = layoffs are coming. We'll all know within 1-3 weeks. So until then, you'll just have to wait. Anything else posted on here is just opinion.

We all would agree that a cut is needed, but what RL/KK will do is just a guess. We can also agree that those two guys are idiots. It's just a waiting game at this point.

I have an idea to save all of us from the pending layoffs! Let all ask is Gary Neal will adopt us, gotta work right? I mean come on from a pure statistical stand point it's a sure fire way to make sure you don't get laid off! I mean like look at how well this has worked out for his kin here at DSI!!!!

Here is the truth: with Welchol generic hitting in a few months, DSI will lose over half of its net sales. There is anothing in the pipeline that will make up for this. I don't know when and I don't know the details, but layoffs are coming and they will be significant. Money is money and we don't have much of it.

There is some talk that welchol generic may be delayed again.... however I still think the layoff is before the Orlando meeting. The company without welchol and injectfer is less then a 100 million dollar company

In preparation for the likely restructure, you should get your brag book ready, update your resume and start interviewing. Other pharma companies have also been downsizing (Lilly, Teva, Merck, Purdue) and the market is being flooded by unemployed reps. Try to get in front of this. Otherwise you'll be interviewing against your DSI counterparts very soon.

Why? There's been a hiring freeze for the past 6 months. Districts are just being absorbed. Look at Philly, South Jersey, Chicago...Baltimore, Richmond on hold. No training class until June and it's only February. Welchol is going generic...

Get in front of it and good luck to all who need this shitbox for a paycheck and health insurance.

Not sure why everyone is in a panic. The meeting is still a month away. It's not unusual that we haven't booked travel yet. I'm sure it will be this week.

This. We have no products. None. But don’t worry our oncology drugs will get us there. Lmao. Can’t wait to hear the speech at the meeting. “NOW we are right sized. This will be the year we do it. You are all hear for a reason”......lol. Look around. Even good people are gone. All that will be left are the ones willing to mop up the shit from the whore house.

yeah you need a product or two for sure looks like March 1 Date so that means it'll be fast they won't send people to a meeting so we may know in next couple days

We haven't had any product for years. Wondering when we will see R&D finally get told to hit the bricks.

Yeah I left this POS company after a long and very successful career in pharma. Wish I never would have hitched my wagon to this bitch but have to say it's less stressful being gone. I sell for a living now, I don't bullshit 11 calls a day and drive 2000 miles a month. To all you true believers out there: you lie for a living. Period. Also; never had a DM that did anything but slow me down. Why do they pay someone 120K to filter emails and give BS sports analogies? DM is a worthless position.

R&D missing in miro causes this for sure if we had that maybe have a chance, too many sales reps and not enough to sell

120k brah?.... that's what we were paid to babysit you...10 years ago.... hate to ruin your week, minimum of 150k plus. A decent Hospital and Oncology rep are making close to that too.. hope your new company didn't jam you to hard!

Legacy AR reps seem to think they are safe. Any thoughts?

Without a DM, half the reps wouldn't know what to do. You may be surprised, but there are a bunch of incompetent reps that are clueless. The DM is paid to deal with these clowns and try to get the most out of them. So it's money well spent. Otherwise, half the sales force wouldn't even leave their house.
