When is the next round of layoffs?

Who will buy Alcon? Will they then cut 50% of the sales force and a lot of unnecessary cost across many functions? Who would want to sink big money into an old battleship with no fight left? Maybe Alcon will just drift aimlessness on the fog like one of those creepy ghost ships?

Tell that to my coworkers who were cut in the last layoff 3 months ago.

That was 3 months ago. Quite a bit different than “layoffs coming”. One is in the past, one is in the future.

In case you are not familiar with the business process, there will be continued layoffs throughout until we are sold in 2019, according to Novartis's statement during the last shareholder meeting. Continuing to cut headcount will help inflate the P/E ratio and therefore make us more attractive to potential investors. So yes, there will be another round of layoffs soon, probably by 2nd quarter 2018.

Get rid of the idiots screwing their employees on bogus business hookups and earnings will go up 10,000 per cent

Human Resources wants younger and more diverse folks. Preferably female. That's the winning ticket !
