Missing the point on all female leadership. I'm confident individually that these are competent people, but the real issue is what happened could not have happened if the team was led by all males. This team was reorganized, but in the process job descriptions were written that were so specific that they could only be filled by pre-selected individuals and when a promotion was in the offering, a female candidate was inserted into this position without opening it up to others that were equally qualified. This is wrong because it sends the clear message that there is no interest in even talking to others to learn what they have to offer for the future. If you are not in the circle, you're out of it and because of this several top candidates that were loyal to Grifols have tuned up their resumes. The only reason this is not a political issue within Grifols is that this is all female leadership and anyone who openly complains might as well leave the company. Its possible this is the best leadership team in the industry, but because no one else was vetted we will never truly know.
Wow...actually a smartly written and intuitive post on CafePharma. It really is a shame they chose to select rather than interview. Sets us back actually.
This is the kind of thing that was used for generations to keep ethnic minorities and women from advancing. It was wrong then, and it is wrong now.
Could the current leadership team be any worse than RL, the angry, drunken "little people" in the NE and NW, and the (alleged) criminal RL hired in FL? Sheesh!
And now they are adding a "Women's Leadership Team Committee". Didn't we just get an entire women's leadership team? It wouldn't be so bad if at least one of them was a 5+
