So it's down to GSK and Reckitt Benkster as the suiters for Pfizer's $30bil Commercial business sale. Wonder how either of them are going to be able to pay that much to acquire a bigger piece of the commercial pie? Maybe GSK will trade a division or two to Pfizer, plus cash - kind of like the Novartis deal a few years ago.
Good point. We traded our Oncology business to Novartis in exchange for their OTC business. The bigger question to ask is which BU will GSK trade to Pfizer?
That will not happen since the two wankers that orchestrated that deal (Sir and Unibrow) were fired for their shrewd dealmaking ability.
Here is the real story--Sanofi, Nestle and Johnson & Johnson contemplated offers before deciding not to pursue them, reports Bloomberg.
Understood. But the buffoons in chagrge of GSK are so mesmerized by the big shiny toy called Pfizer Commercial that they are blinded by the facts that turned away more successful and rationally thinking companies. Pipeline be damned!
