Have you ever seen the 2017 movie THE CIRCLE? If you are wondering what Genentech and the culture is like, just watch the movie and you will fully understand. Even down to the social media...

Wow. I just watched this movie last weekend with my husband and thought I was watching a movie about Genentech! It was surreal.

Oh my! A group of us talked about this very subject at the national meeting. The Circle was spot on.

Genentech IS the Circle. If you think for one moment that actually care about their employees then think again. They now have one of the worst reputations for laying their employees off. There is no truth.

The Circle where people don't work and business is crashing

The Circle where we displace reps that underperform and then rehire them because no one else wants to work here.

Why does the Lytics Team feel the need to wear Stroke reminder t-shirts for the general public visiting Las Vegas to identify us as a Pharma/Biotech company wasting healthcare dollars by have large conventions in "the expensive" hotels/casinos?
News Flash: This is a self serving meaningless act that serves as a poor attempt for this team to justify their existence amongst the competitive sales teams. Please stop! Stroke survivors, families of of stroke survivors and families if deceased patients didn't come to Las Vegas for the Lytics Team from Genentech to remind them of a potential devastating life changing event.
Stop the self-importance, we all save patient lives, there is a time and a place for promotion, especially non-branded
    .

The Lytics team has not being working/coasting for the past 10 years at a minimum.
They will make you think they are the most important rep/brand in the room.

    LMFAO...

Talk about auto pilot. The only time lytics reps get out of bed is to walk to the mailbox to get their bonus checks.

Sounds like lytic reps know how to work the system and you are a dumb ass that is jealous. I was in lytics now I'm in oncology, wish I would have stayed.

I remember Tom Hanks in the TV Show, Bosom Buddies. That is what Genentech is into nowadays.

Now after all this, if you haven't seen the movie THE CIRCLE, you really come to realize the entire film is based on GNE and their ridiculous labels like Ecosystems and Pioneers that get everyone to talk their lingo like a bunch of lemmings. Scary place. Scary culture.

Those terms aren’t Genentech’s. It is consulting firms. McKinsey mostly.

This is so sad. GENENTECH was a dream for me when I transitioned from a clinical role. I wish you all could have had that experience. Since 2011 it went downhill. Leadership bragged that the culture would not change which is a ridiculous thing to say. It was about the patient and we were like a big family. I left after 15 years and couldn’t get out fast enough. I took my long overdue sabbatical first and gave my resignation when I returned. Lol

Congrats! Best decision ever. on leaving. None of what is going on is new to the industry. This BS has happened at other companies, as they called it the same damn thing, and guess what !?! Epic fail. They are all back to another model.
