Territory sales reps salary

They're interchangeable with regards to the level of destruction they've wrought over the years. They can't go soon enough. I'm actually surprised they are still there. Just shows how lame a choice the new guy is, even he laps up the BS they are feeding him. If he was worth half the money the BOD is paying him he'd fired them within days recognizing their incompetence. Alas he's fallen in line and is now a made man within the MN Mafia.

 

I heard Amazon dental division is hiring.

Yeah, they are still looking for the right person to figure out how to make dental work. Purchasing from a distributor and then trying to resell it is not allowing them to be a low cost leader. No one goes to Amazon to pay more. When they purchase a MFG, I will start to worry.

 

What would prevent them from dealing direct with the manufacturer?

 

In addition to limitations from existing distribution contracts, some MFGs do care about how their products are marketed and see the value in using Patterson with a dedicated field based sales force over an online discounter.

 

You mean the largest online retailer in the world, not just "some" online discounter...

 

Right. No threat at all. Our greedy MF’s at the top of this pile of shit who starve our ability to service customers will give MFG’s all kinds of reason to look at Amazon as a viable solution. Just a matter of time.

 

Dunno. I think they've cocked it up pretty good on the equipment side and marginwise but we're still selling lots of product for a lot of people. Amazon is going to get in eventually but what that means after the fact is the question. How many remain loyal for loyalties sake and how many look at the tiny slice of pie in their budget and say I'm needing to diet and that slice needs to be smaller and we're out.

Time will tell, but if Amazon is hiring I know a former dental exec who's probably looking for a job, I hear he's a nice guy, bit of a pushover with his subordinates but he's available... lol.

 

They can have pumkin head and stumpy. In about 6 months they’ll be so fucked up they’ll dump this vertical forever.

So, just to be clear-base pay is between $45k-55k depending on location and experience?

 

Really would appreciate an honest answer, I see base is about 50k but how much is expected total comp with commission. I see open territory in Albany, NY. Is 100k reasonable to expect if you hit your number and do most hit their numbers? Thank You
