Pay cuts, commission adjustments

Has anyone else noticed a significant drop in commission earned or weird negative commission adjustments despite maintaining margins?

 

You mean your thinking the MN Mafia is trying to keep "your" money? Don't you understand how this works?? They've got to pay for SAP and all the various execs and their bonuses somehow... remember, you work for them.

 

i heard about the guarantees, but never saw any proof of them.

Trust me they exist! I was offered one if I stayed on and I know many others who left Patterson were offered a guarantee if they stayed. The best thing I did was leave and work out a deal with another company....actually for more money than I was guaranteed by Patterson. I am much happier and am able to make good business decisions on my own like in the past. Nobody is watching over me and I don't have to put up that damn SAP anymore. My dental life is much simpler and happier. Customers seem to be on board as well....no more bullshit!

 

+1, they were not offered to anyone, it's more of a retention program right now as well as motivate them to fight back for more customers.

 

Are you guys confusing non-competes with pay guarantees?

 

Non-competes involved certain salary increase and were given to all ES and techs.

 

Bad info on this thread. No ES's were offered a guarantee or asked to sign non competes. This was however a real thing for the Cad Cam Specialists last year. The ones they wanted to keep were offered a choice of pay plans (one of which included a guarantee) and were asked to sign agreement. Now I'm sure management will throw money around when a good rep decides to walk, but I've not heard of any guarantees being proactively offered to TR's or ES's short of desperate measures to keep them from walking.

On a similar note, every time I get an email from Marky Mark about a change in the executive leadership team, I'm always hoping he's announcing pumpkin head's imminent dismissal. But alas no joy. When will the guillotine drop?

 

Marky Mark is just playing musical chairs on the Titanic. It would be good if he pulled a “man overboard” on that bloated slob first but quickly followed up with the other 3 horsemen.

Getting rid of the four horsemen won't change anything. The problem is systemic. Sure they're losers and dragging things down but there needs to be a cultural shift and that won't happen without getting rid of many the regionals too.

 

the "regionals" are just puppets who cannot make decisions on their own....just like us! Misiak and Rogan are the ones who are making the puppets dance by intimidation. Gugino is a fish out of water and should not be in the position she is in....as we all know. "The Swamp needs to be drained"!

 

Then drain all management, they need people with the balls to stand up in the field not just the crystal palace.

 

There was a commission adjustment scheduled for last year. They were about to move forward with it then they cancelled it when Schein started poaching everyone. It will be back .
