I was hired last month, and I'm in negotiations for relocation/moving expenses.
I'll be getting $4700 which won't cover all of but I'm happy to be in Derm.
Can someone tell me if they relocated and how much was offered ? I've countered thier offer with a $5900 in relocation expenses that I need.
    Thanks in advance

You should do a lot better than that. I finally got 12K when I relocated original offer was 7.2K. Had to complain to HR and get a letter from my lawyer.

Why is this process taking so long. I was told I would be moved into RD and have yet to hear anything!?!?!?! I have followed up multiple times! Initial F2F was Dec 1! What is the hold up? Hiring Freze? Canceling the expansion? WTF!!!

There were many internal applicants. Start dates are nearing so whether you are internal or external our time is up. It takes 2-3 weeks for a background check.
If you have not heard back it’s most likely that you are a 2nd choice and they have a 1st choice waiting on their background clearance.

Can't tell if you're being serious or not, but I'm hoping you are since I'm interviewing for one of these roles. If the allowance is enough to cover gas, insurance, and a payment on a car like that, no wonder AbbVie is the place to be right now.

Yes, I know several who got high end Volvos.

IMHO there are better choices than Volvo- I chose the Cadillac Escalade and it is great. Fully covered in my allowance with 3 yr lease. Few other places are this generous

Inquisitive minds would like to know-enough for gas & insurance in addition to the car payment? If so, AbbVie hooks it up compared to others in the industry. My last company offered me about 450 a month but that was to cover the car, gas, and insurance. Didn't make sense compared to taking the company car with unlimited personal miles.

You are being fooled. Nissan pathfinder is an additional fee, equinox is free. No car allowances

Then you don't work for our company. I drive leased Escalade on three yr lease. DM approved this. She drives one also. It actually helps our image quite a bit.

Escalade helps our image??! Yeah it reinforces the image that the biopharma sector is so ridiculously wasteful that all of these entitled reps and managers are driving these imperialist gas guzzlers around and driving up the cost of medicine even higher. How would our image be helped if this was exposed in the press? Sick!
