"Lonza, a Swiss contract manufacturer, is going to begin to shut down operations at a troubled biologics facility that is located in Hopkinton MA. This will eventually lead to the loss of about 250 jobs. Originally, there was no time frame for the move, but now the company is going to start the phase out in September.

Lonza has been struggling to get the facility into compliance with cGMP regulations, which has created supply problems for some clients. The plant has had cGMP problems since 2011, when it got a warning letter from FDA. That letter focused on bad batches of an API that it makes for Ontak, which is a cancer drug made by Eisai. However, it is the drugmaker Ipsen, based in France, that is reporting supply problems that are related to this plant. In the spring, it stated that they were having problems making the orphan drug Increlex because of the problems at this facility making the API. This suggests to us that Lonza has had serious problems overcoming cGMP concerns at the plant."

 

same old same old.....different place same problems that stem from SLT and flow down to the mid level managers and line management. BJs in the parking lot don't fix quality problems or incompetent management. If you lie to the staff then you will lie to the CLIENT and the FDA.

 

The good people have left for the most part. There are some here and there but they mostly stay quiet and do what is asked even if it makes things harder. The ELT (SLT) repeats the same lines of horseshit over and over, just package it different ways. These assholes have no clue.

 

Not only do the ELT and other management a holes not care they are activley screwing the people who work here, the investors and the clients. Go allclammy!

 

Man, it's so great to look at this site from time to time. It's like peeking at a really bad-ex's social media page... "Ha, yep, still a crazy ho-bag!"

The word is out too, look at GlassDoor. The place has fallen to like 1.5 stars, and without the Alcami-planted reviews it would be even worse!

 

Look at the trend. whenever it was when you escaped, it was always better!

 

It gets worse each day. More pressure to generate more revenue with less; less support, less staff, less quality.. Each day a new way to humiliate the staff is rolled out. New goals and metrics are applied, as the SLT/ELT becomes more desperate.

Bottom line is it sucks here.
