Rumor mill has it that GTS and AS are going to merge. Easy way to get rid of some heads, hopefully starting at the top.
If SM is serious about cost and that credo thing he talks about and cost as it relates to it - please reduce shared services to half of what it is. Why are sectors held to standards of spend as % of revenue, what about shared services. With cloud and SaaS do we need such a large shared services organization.
If this happens the processes they put in place will further cripple the organization. Fill out an IRIS request, wait 4 weeks for XX number of people to approve when only one really needs to. Start a project with AS fill out an god awful 20 tab excel spreadsheet. Document all your requirements up front, then call yourself agile. We can only hope they offer some sort of packages the "mature" workers to clear them out as they aren't going to volunteer to leave.
I agree. There is a bloat in these organizations. As a "mature" worker I hope they do offer packages. I'm ready to leave.
I hear packages are being offered and that the exiting VP's got them. Anyone know for sure and if they will be offered or are they only for the "chosen"? I'd love to volunteer for one!
Two weeks pay/year, up to one year. Nothing else in the package, like add 5 years to age and service. That would sweeten the deal for a lot of people.
