They've been speculating this for at least 4 or 5 months now. Not really a surprise since most speculation is based on leaked information.

If true it’s unfortunate. This was a unit that was rocking and rolling in the Watson/Actavis Days. Weathered the Warner-Chilcott stuff and had a bright future with Liletta etc on the horizon. Then, in comes Forest and out goes 1/2 the WH Sales Force a week after Liletta launch. The rest has been a death spiral starting with CR and never ceasing. Reps in WH are few and far between. Teva Shianogi (spelled wrong) Pfizer have all gutted their WH forces. Opportunity was there but our Overloads only know Sell not Develop. So....

Welcome to the world of M&A. Employees are always the ones fucked when companies merge. Nowadays even shareholders may not benefit but upper management and CEO's make out like bandits.

You are so right;loved the WH division in 2013/14. It was a great place to work; then the changes happened and it became Forest.
The culture immediately changed and CRs so called “leadership” was abysmal.Every time they said a small realigned with a reduction it reduced the original WH division by 20-25% because many were “replaced” by Forest PC reps, so the number of WH reps who lost their jobs was always higher.
I would say there’s a very very small number of reps still left in the WH division that were there 4 years ago it had such potential but nothing really moved forward.

WH is on the board. 2 obvious reasons
    1) BS said it was perfectly safe and had no intentions of selling it or breaking up the company. Look at past history......it’s the rhetorical kiss of death for anything he runs

    2) BS only knows how to break up, buy or sell Companies. Again, look at his track record. He’s not talking about adding to the Portfolio. Even CR’s great scheme of ‘Add Linzess to every bag’ won’t work. BS is looking to stop the bleeding. Getting a $5 Billion band aide is perfect
