i believe it. The company is anti worker and operates from the notion that employees are thieves. Makes sense these Shire jerks would employ the same method to track mileage for Papa Johns for us.

Isn't that for mileage tracking? Nobody has a car allowance here

Backdoor way to track w/o GPS. Also because RD’s are in the field 5 per week it’s a way to make sure they’re out there and not home. Sorry guys but it’s the only way...

OBU Rd's aren't out there 5/wk. My RD says they only want to be with us if it makes sense to do so... Important appointments etc

Too funny!! OBU will be monitored just as NBU is beginning monitoring for call accuracy and company car location.

I call BS on this one. No one at home office has time to do the labor intense tracking.

Hey Silly Boy: Shire and other pharma companies are using outside "auditing" firms to conduct the logistics. Summary reports are then provide to management on a quarterly basis.

Bring it on!!!! For those of us who are working 50+ hours bc of rural territory, then Shire can see that much more than 40 hours/week are truely spent away from home, not including all the after hours BS that is required!

Now leadership can see the reason work/life balance is so Poor @ Shire.

Yeah because unfortunately with certain Shire leaders its not about quality but quantity of hours worked. God forbid if you have a family, one past VP in particular will hold it against you.

Y’all are paid for a full time job and you steal from your employer by working part time. We will now be able to identify the thiefs. Get ready to payback $s to Shire!!!

Maybe this is true. Maybe it isn’t. These rumors are always flying around. However, although I’m not an attorney, I would think they would legally have to inform us of this. Just due to the simple fact that we also use our company vehicles on personal time for personal use. I can see the justification, although I disagree with it, during business hours. But, there has got to be some sort of privacy laws around being able to monitor your employees on personal time, company vehicle or not.

Part of the Takeda negotiations. Takeda is very concerned about the work integrity of the Shire sales force. Most NBU sales reps will be gone and OBU reps will be closely monitored for call accuracy and 8 hour work days.
