I have found it easier to just have spouse or friend place a timely call to me to let me know about sick child- much easier! And believe me, the DBM is always soooooo supportive as they are equally as interested in cutting the field ride short!
You are not kidding. No different than the DBM using the good old 4:00PM Web-ex they always seen to have that they need to be in their home office for and they live 2 hours away. Everyone understands that the corporate directive of so much time in the field just creates reps and managers that get tired of seeing each other so frequently.
